  • Patent number: 11587081
Abstract: Fuel dispensing transactions may be accomplished by a variety of systems and techniques. A fuel dispensing device may include a payment module, a data entry device, and a customer display. The payment module may receive a first communication from a point of sale device requesting an encrypted response and receive a second communication from the point of sale device requesting an unencrypted response. The module may match the first communication to a first corresponding library entry, match the second communication to a second corresponding library entry, determine a user response based on one of the first corresponding library entry or the second corresponding library entry, where the user response defines one of the encrypted response based on the first corresponding library entry or the unencrypted response based on the second corresponding library entry, and use the corresponding library entry to generate a visual customer display requesting the user response.

  • Publication number: 20220236990
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for speculatively vectorising program code. The apparatus includes processing circuitry for executing program code, the program code including an identified code region comprising at least a plurality of speculative vector memory access instructions. Execution of each speculative vector memory access instruction is employed to perform speculative vectorisation of a series of scalar memory access operations using a plurality of lanes of processing. Tracking storage is used to maintain, for each speculative vector memory access instruction, tracking information providing an indication of a memory address being accessed within each lane. Checking circuitry then references the tracking information during execution of the identified code region by the processing circuitry, in order to detect any inter lane memory hazard resulting from the execution of the plurality of speculative vector memory access instructions.

  • Patent number: 11176224
Abstract: A memory stores a catalog of applications and a catalog of trusted sources. A processor detects that a first user attempted to install an application, determines that a source of the application is in the catalog of trusted sources, scans the application to determine that the application does not contain a virus, and determines that there is a first license that allows the first user to install the application. The processor also stores the application into a repository and adds the application to the catalog of applications. The processor receives a request from a second user to install the application, determines that the application is in the catalog of applications, and determines that there is a second license that allows the second user to install the application. The processor further retrieves the application from the repository and initiates installation of the application on a device of the second user.

  • Patent number: 11113096
Abstract: In some examples, a system tests a program that includes code to invoke calls of an application programming interface (API) for managing resources of a cloud environment. As part of the testing of the program, the system determines permissions for the invoked calls of the API, creates a collection of the determined permissions, and associates the collection of the determined permissions with an access policy of the cloud environment, the access policy to control use of the API for managing resources of the cloud environment.

  • Publication number: 20210267532
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for measuring muscle reflexes (e.g., a bulbocavernosus reflex) as a tool for identifying/diagnosing dysfunctions (e.g., spinal cord abnormalities, bladder voiding dysfunction, and sexual organ dysfunction) non-invasively by using mechanical stimulation. The system and method includes a probe having a predetermined patient contacting portion, wherein when the contacting portion is moved into contact with a particular area of the patient (e.g., the patient's genitals), the contact induces a muscle reflex. The probe detects the pressure resulting from the contacting portion being abruptly and forcibly brought into contact with the particular area. Such detection is used to electronically initiate capture of electrical responses from a plurality of electrodes placed on the patient's skin in proximity to the particular area. Such electrical responses are processed to determine characteristics of the patient's reflexes of one or more muscles adjacent to the electrodes.
