Abstract: A quick release connecting device includes an actuating retainer having an internal receiving space, at least one first push section and a retaining section for detachably engaging with a first object; a fixing member including a body portion movably associated with the receiving space and a pivot portion formed on the body portion for detachably connecting with a second object; pin connection means connecting the body portion to the receiving space for the actuating retainer and the fixing member to move relative to each other within a limited range; an elastic element having two ends pressed against an inner wall surface of the receiving space and the body portion to control the limited movement of the actuating retainer and the fixing member and return them to their original positions. With the quick release connecting device, two mating objects can be conveniently repeatedly connected to and separated from each other.

Partial material of the object would move or flow into the material retaining section when the intermediate member is forcefully pressed against the object, so that the intermediate member and the object are connected together. Since the body portion can be assembled to the intermediate member and the intermediate member can be further connected to an object, and the fastener structure can be fastened to and released from a target object, at least two objects can be repeatedly and quickly connected to and disconnect from one another using the fastener structure.

A method of assembling the fixing assembly is also introduced, according to which the engaging member is first connected to the mating member, the assembling section of the fastening member is then forced through an insertion-hole section of the engaging member to be assembled thereto, and finally, a first inner retaining section of the mating member is movably connected to an outer retaining section of a locating member, which is connected to a workpiece. Therefore, the fixing assembly and the fastener structure thereof have a simple structure and can be easily completed.
