  • Publication number: 20040138491
Abstract: A process for synthesizing an aminosilane compound such as bis(tertiarybutylamino)silane is provided. In one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a process for making bis(tertiarybutylamino)silane comprising reacting a stoichiometric excess of tert-butylamine with dichlorosilane under anhydrous conditions sufficient such that a liquid comprising the bis(tertiarybutylamino)silane product is produced.

  • Publication number: 20040119149
Abstract: A system for packaging an integrated circuit amplifier bonds the integrated circuit to metallization lines in a substrate surface with solder balls, the contacts of the integrated circuit being on a top surface and the opposite surface of the integrated circuit being adjacent to a set of vias for conducting heat away from the circuit into the ambient; the material for the material disposed about the integrated circuit being deposited in powder form and later solidified.

  • Patent number: 6660498
Abstract: We utilized the silkworm (Bombyx mori)/baculovirus system to produce recombinant Major Merozoite Surface Protein 1 (MSP142) because of the low cost and potential high yield of this expression system. The MSP142 (3D7 sequence) was cloned into the baculovirus, BmNPV with the melittin signal sequence. The recombinant virus, BmNPV-Sp42 was used to infect silkworms for the expression of MSP142 (Sp42). One recombinant clone expressed high level of Sp42 with an estimated 0.5 mg of antigen produced within a single worm. The Sp42 was recognized by monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies specific for parasite MSP1 in direct binding and competitive binding ELISAs, suggesting that Sp42 possesses antigenic determinants similar to parasite MSP142. Immunogenicity studies were performed in rabbits. Sp42 induced high titers of antibodies crossreactive with MSP1. Specificity analyses showed that anti-Sp42 antibodies reacted primarily against conserved determinants on MSP1-19.

  • Patent number: 5873108
Abstract: A personal information manager is based on a different paradigm than the conventional paper/pencil paradigm, resulting in a personal information manager that is dramatically simpler and easier to use. The personal information manager is based on what may be referred to as a tag paradigm, which allows different types of information to be entered from a single screen display in a consistent manner, and likewise allows different types of information to be retrieved from a single screen display in a consistent manner. The operational modes characteristic of prior art personal information managers are largely eliminated, greatly increasing ease of use.

  • Patent number: 5840978
Abstract: This invention describes an integrated process for making ethylidene bisformamide in high yield wherein water, which is formed as a reaction by-product, is readily removed from the reaction product mixture without adversely affecting the efficiency of the overall process. The process contemplates isolating the reaction zone from the separation zone and comprises circulating a stream of formamide through a reaction zone containing a solid acidic catalyst and a separation zone; introducing acetaldehyde into the circulating stream of formamide to form a reaction mixture and contacting the reaction mixture with the solid acidic catalyst under reaction conditions sufficient to form a product mixture comprising ethylidene bisformamide and water; and separating water from the product mixture in the separation zone to form a water-depleted product mixture containing ethylidene bisformamide.
