  • Patent number: 9906356
Abstract: In a system including a master station, slave stations, and a loop communication path for connecting the master and slave stations, the master station measures for each of the slave stations a transmission lag time from transmission of a communication frame in a forward direction through a loop communication channel in the master station to reception of the communication frame returned in a backward direction from the slave station, and calculates timer correction times for the slave stations based on both the transmission lag times measured for the slave stations and delay time information representing delay times caused by communication frame processing in the slave stations. Each of the slave stations includes a transmission/reception switch which switches a communication frame transmitting/receiving direction between the forward and backward directions in the loop communication channel, to allow timer synchronization in the loop communication path formed by the single communication channel.

  • Patent number: 9190946
Abstract: An acceleration command calculator calculates an acceleration command “as” based on an output torque Tmb of the spindle motor applied when the rotational speed is less than or equal to a base rotational speed and an inertia Jm+Jl of the overall spindle. A switching speed calculator calculates a control mode switching speed Vs based on the acceleration command “as”. A control mode switching switch switches from a speed control mode to a position control mode when the motor speed Vm becomes less than or equal to the control mode switching speed Vs, to stop the spindle at a desired rotational position. The control mode switching speed Vs may be a value calculated using the following equation: Vs=60×(amax×0.5)1/2, where a maximum acceleration that can be achieved at this time is represented by a max.

  • Patent number: 8988033
Abstract: A machine tool includes a main axis 30 to which a touch probe 17 is attached, a motor 15 that rotationally drives the main axis 30, a rotation angle position detector 16 that detects a rotation angle position of the motor 15, and a control device 20. The control device, when a measurement mode command for performing measurement of a workpiece by the touch probe 17 is input, multiplies a d-axis current command value Idc by a d-axis current correction coefficient K that is less than 1 to reduce the d-axis current command value Idc to a d-axis current command correction value Idc?, using a d-axis current command correction section 4. Thus, in the machine tool, small rotation vibrations of the main axis, generated when rotating the main axis to which the probe is attached and performing measurements of a workpiece, can be suppressed to thereby increase the measurement accuracy.

  • Patent number: 8369666
Abstract: An optical wavelength multiplexing/de-multiplexing circuit having a low loss and a flat transmission spectrum is provided. The optical wavelength multiplexing/de-multiplexing circuit compensates a temperature dependence of a center transmission wavelength which remains in an athermal AWG, and has an excellent accuracy of the center transmission wavelength in a whole operating temperature range or has a comparatively wide operable temperature range. The temperature dependence of the transmission wavelength in the athermal MZI is modulated and set so as to cancel the temperature dependence of the center wavelength which remains in the athermal AWG. The present invention focuses particularly on an optical coupler in the MZI and modulates the temperature dependence of the transmission wavelength in the MZI by providing the optical coupler itself with a mechanism which changes a phase difference between two outputs by temperature.

  • Publication number: 20120104502
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of producing a semiconductor device, able to form a source/drain of a Schottky junction (FET) with simple steps and able to improve the device characteristics. A gate is formed on an element region defined in a silicon substrate layer by element isolation regions (first step), the silicon substrate is etched by self-alignment using the gate and the element isolation regions as masks (second step), and an insulating film is formed on the side surfaces of the gate (third step). Then, a metal film acting as the source/drain is selectively formed on the etching region of the silicon substrate by electroless plating (fourth step).

  • Patent number: 8107735
Abstract: A face model providing portion provides an stored average face model to an estimation portion estimating an affine parameter for obtaining a head pose. An individual face model learning portion obtains a result of tracking feature points by the estimation portion and learns an individual face model. The individual face model learning portion terminates the learning when a free energy of the individual face model is over a free energy of the average face model, and switches a face model provided to the estimation portion from the average face model to the individual face model. While learning the individual face mode, an observation matrix is factorized using a reliability matrix showing reliability of each observation value forming the observation matrix with emphasis on the feature point having higher reliability.
