    Abstract: An antenna for use in a distributed antenna system includes: (a) a feeding circuit on a first side of a first dielectric defining a planar edge perpendicular to the first side, a coplanar waveguide comprising a signal feed and a signal return coplanar with and interfittingly apart from the signal feed; (b) a radiator circuit on a second side of a second dielectric, a monopole radiator and a radiator return being copolanar and spaced apart from each other, the first dielectric capacitively coupling the signal feed to the monopole radiator; and (c) an edge connection along the planar edge for electrically connecting the signal return to the radiator return. A cover encloses the feeding circuit, including its impedance matching, in a water-resistant enclosure. The antenna ceiling-mounts indoors, is coated with a fire-resistant coating, and is operable at VHF (132-174 MHz), UHF (350-520 MHz), and 698-960 MHz.

    Abstract: A computer implemented method handles object references. A computer system determines whether an object reference fetched by a load instruction has an expected value for heap protection for a heap in response to receiving the load instruction for execution. The computer system generates an event in response to the object reference not being the expected value, wherein the event is used to manage the object reference. According to other illustrative embodiments, a computer system and a computer program product for managing object references are provided. As a result, the illustrative embodiments can prevent a load instruction from loading an invalid object reference that does not point to a memory location in a heap.

The pixels of such arrays include a photodetector (PD) structure and a vertical-cavity, surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) diode, both formed in a common stack of epitaxial semiconductor layers. The pixels of the array may be configured by a controller or processor to function either as a light emitter by biasing the VCSEL diode, or as a light detector or receiver by a different bias applied to the PD structure, and this functionality may be altered in time. The array of dual function pixels may be positioned interior to an optical display of an electronic device, in some cases to provide depth sensing or autofocus. The array of pixels may be registered with a camera of an electronic device, such as to provide depth sensing or autofocus.
