    Abstract: A head-mounted device may have a head-mounted support structure. Displays may present images to eye boxes at the rear of the head-mounted support structure. Cameras and other sensors may be supported by the head-mounted support structure. Tracking cameras may be used to track the movement of a user's hands or other external objects. In dim ambient lighting conditions, a supplemental illumination system may be activated to provide supplemental illumination for the tracking cameras. A single beam of supplemental illumination may be emitted over a given coverage area or a smaller beam of supplemental illumination may be steered across the given coverage area. Light-emitting devices such as infrared light-emitting diodes and infrared lasers may be used to form infrared light sources for the supplemental illumination system.

    Abstract: An assembly method of an apparatus suitable for pressurized liquid transfusion is disclosed. In one step, a nozzle is to be inserted into the through hole of an elastomeric ring. Because the dimension of the nozzle is larger than the through hole, the internal wall of the elastomeric ring is tensioned and deformed so as to fit the nozzle. In one step, the elastomeric ring along with the nozzle is inserted into a receptacle. The dimension of the outer contour of the elastomeric ring needs to be decreased so as to be accommodated by the receptacle. Due to the flexibility of the elastomeric ring, it resumes at least partially to its original shape. Therefore, proper seal is created and maintained between the elastomeric ring and the nozzle such that leakage and pressure loss may be prevented. The foregoing is capable of working under high-pressured environment for prolonged use.

    Abstract: A technique to cache content securely within edge network environments, even within portions of that network that might be considered less secure than what a customer desires, while still providing the acceleration and off-loading benefits of the edge network. The approach ensures that customer confidential data (whether content, keys, etc.) are not exposed either in transit or at rest. In this approach, only encrypted copies of the customer's content objects are maintained within the portion of the edge network, but without any need to manage the encryption keys. To take full advantage of the secure content caching technique, preferably the encrypted content (or portions thereof) are pre-positioned within the edge network portion to improve performance of secure content delivery from the environment.

The user's touch causes changes in the self-mixing interference within the VCSEL of the emitted light with reflected light, such as from the touch input surface. Deflection and movement (e.g., drag motion) of the user's touch is determined from detected changes in the VCSELs' operation due to the self-mixing interference.

    Abstract: An apparatus suitable for pressurized liquid transfusion is disclosed. The apparatus includes a nozzle assembly enclosed by the combination of a casing and a check nut. The nozzle assembly includes an elastomeric ring and a nozzle received by the combination of a cap and a receptacle. The elastomeric ring surrounds the nozzle and a proper seal is created therebetween. The dimension of the internal contour of the elastomeric ring is a bit smaller than the nozzle. The elastomeric ring is stretched so as to receive the nozzle. Additional processing may be applied to the elastomeric ring to achieve a different type of proper seal. Pressurized liquid passes through the apparatus so as to be transfused. The aforementioned seal serves to avoid leakage or pressure loss at the apparatus so as to avoid undesired aerosolization effects of an aerosolizer the apparatus is installed in.

    Abstract: An electronic device may include a proximity sensor under a cover layer. The proximity sensor may include a light-emitter, such as an infrared light source, and a light-detector, such as an array of single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs). The SPADs may measure light that has reflected from an external object. However, some of the light may be reflected by the cover layer, creating cross-talk. To distinguish between the cross-talk and signals from the external object, processing circuitry may histogram measurements from the SPADs. In particular, the processing circuitry may histogram near-field and/or far-field measurements into different histograms. The measurements may be weighted and/or gated prior to histogramming. In this way, cross-talk may be distinguished from the near-field and far-field signals.

    Abstract: A supramolecular nano-drug based on irinotecan and niraparib, and a preparation method and application thereof are provided. The nano-drug is a stable supramolecular nanostructure with a regular geometric appearance, which is formed by self-assembling irinotecan and niraparib through supramolecular acting forces, such as hydrogen bonds, and hydrophobic Van Der Waals force by a dynamic supramolecular self-assembly method. The supramolecular nano-drug formed in the present disclosure is capable of significantly improving the sensitivity of colorectal cells to the irinotecan, and the quantity of DNA damages induced in the colorectal cells is significantly higher than that induced by the irinotecan as a single chemotherapeutic drug. The supramolecular nano-drug of the present disclosure can not only induce death of colorectal cancer cells in vitro, but also play a role in treating the colorectal cancer in vivo after being administrated intravenously.
