  • Publication number: 20030047761
Abstract: A micro array chip is formed by high-speed injection molding. A chip body has a thickness of 1 mm and each well has a capacity of 1.2 &mgr;L with the bottom having a wall thickness of 250 &mgr;m. An opening of each well is surrounded by an annular protrusion part, which is raised from a surface of the chip body by a height of 200 &mgr;m. The openings of wells may be closed with a sheet of sealant made of aluminum or a resin. An overall shape of the micro array chip is rectangular and is a flat plate with a level bottom surface. Therefore, the micro array chip can be used with a heat block in flat plate form, which is independent of chip specifications such as a number of wells and their shape.

  • Publication number: 20020060483
Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a safety device for car seat which lies down instantaneously and converts a infant, a child, or an old person into a safe stance, reacting with an impact given in a front/rear collision, so as to protect the infant, child or old person safely against the impact in the front/rear collision. To achieve this object, the present invention comprises a seat for infant/child installed on a conventional car seat and lying down with reacting to the impact and sliding forward, a locking member maintaining a normal stance of the seat for infant/child, and a impact reaction member releasing a locking between the seat for infant/child and the locking member as the impact occurs. Therefore, by having the seat for infant/child lain down against the transmitted impact in the front/rear collision, the danger from the impact could be avoided, and thus the infant, child or old person could be protected more safely.

  • Publication number: 20020041612
Abstract: A semiconductor laser device and optical pickup in which the reflectance of the side beam at a header portion will not adversely affect the characteristics of the optical pickup, and superior in productivity, and a method of fabricating such a semiconductor laser device are obtained. A reflector is attached on a side beam incident region of a leading end plane of a header mounted with a laser chip that emits a laser beam. Said side beam is one of the two side beams generated by the reflected ±first order beams and fed back through the optical system returning towards the header portion to strike the side beam incident region. • Patent number: 5337173
Abstract: A redundantly constructed liquid crystal display which has high aperture efficiency. Pixels are arranged in a matrix at the intersections of scan and data lines and storage capacitor lines are provided to supply the pixels with storage capacitors. The pixels are arranged in groups of two pixels adjoining each other by arranging scan lines (or data lines) in groups of two pixels closely adjoining each other. • Patent number: 5219770
Abstract: A semiconductor device comprising a drain and source region formed in a semiconductor substrate is provided. In order to provide a semiconductor device having a high packing density of the circuit elements, the contact windows for the source region and substrate region are combined into one opening in the source region. A common contact region is formed in a portion of the contact window for the source region by doping opposite conductivity type impurities. The depth of the converted region is deep enough to extend to the substrate. By connecting the source region and the substrate region in the common contact hole, the positioning margin and the wiring for connecting them are unnecessary and thus, the packing density of the devices in the MIS IC is increased.
