  • Patent number: 4938065
Abstract: An acceleration detecting device includes an elastic flat plate, a supporting member for fixing both ends of the plate, a weight fixed to a substantial central portion of the plate and extended from the plate in vertical direction. Strain detecting devices are arranged in a horizontal plane adjacent the weight and stress indicating devices are provided for indicating an external force applied to the weight from the strains detected by the strain detecting devices.

  • Patent number: 4848157
Abstract: An acceleration detecting device which detects an acceleration and/or deceleration. The acceleration detecting device comprises a beam, supporting member supporting both ends of the beam, a weight for twisting the beam in response to an applied acceleration substantially provided at the center of said beam, and, a detector for detecting the amount of the twisting deformation of said beam. When the acceleration is applied to the detecting device, the beam is bent and deformed in proportion to level of the acceleration. The deformation of the beam is detected by the detector, and the signal according to the level of the acceleration is output from the detecter.

  • Patent number: 4130390
Abstract: Extensive improvements in the production capability of the existing installations of the type comprising a rotary kiln and a suspension preheater unit are disclosed; that is, another suspension preheater unit provided with a calciner at its lowermost heat transfer stage and a distributor to direct a part of the preheated raw materials from the existing preheater to the calciner are installed, and all the raw materials supplied to two preheater units are uniformly and highly calcined ahead of the kiln in the preheaters by control of the distributor as well as the fuel rate to the calciner, thereby the production capacity of the kiln is doubled. Furthermore the accumulation of raw materials on the bottom of the calciner can be substantially eliminated and the specific power consumption of the installations may be reduced.

  • Patent number: 4080218
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method of removal of nitrogen oxides, particularly for the use in a cement raw material burning installation, said method comprising the step of introducing the reduction agent for the removal of nitrogen oxides into the zone, where is heated to about to 800.degree. to 1,100.degree. C of a duct connecting between a furnace such as a rotary kiln and the lowermost cyclone of a suspension type heater system, thereby removing nitrogen oxides produced in the burning furnace.

  • Patent number: 4059393
Abstract: The combustion air, which is induced into a calcining furnace (calciner) from the lower end thereof and is vigorously swirled upward along the furnace wall, is burned by a plurality of burners and the negative pressure region may be developed at the center portion of the furnace. The exhaust gases leaving a rotary kiln, in which the calcined raw materials are burned to clinker, are led upwardly from the center of the furnace bottom into the said negative region and mixed with combustion gases. The raw material particles may be fed directly into the said negative region or to kiln exhaust gases so as to be entrained into the said region.

  • Patent number: 4039277
Abstract: Almost all of the powder materials, after having been calcined in a calcining furnace, are treated by the high temperature kiln exhaust without being directly fed into a rotary kiln, so that the materials may pass through at least two calcining zones in series so that they are calcined perfectly and uniformly before they are fed into the kiln, thereby contributing to make compact a rotary kiln in size and to improve overall thermal efficiency of the calcining and burning (sintering) apparatus.

  • Patent number: 3983932
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes wall members forming a fluid passage therebetween and an inner fin formed of a sheet metal and disposed therein. The inner fin is formed with a plurality of corrugated projections whose side portions are twisted at a certain angle in a plane parallel to the sheet metal with respect to a direction transverse to a fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 3958326
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a commutator whereby first, a straight length of copper metal is formed into a circular commutator blank with a parallel space formed by both ends of the straight length of metal; second, the commutator blank is positioned on a lower die of an extrusion press machine in order that the parallel space of the commutator blank is aligned with a plane on which one of cutting edges of a mandrel of the extrusion press machine is placed; third, the commutator blank is extruded to form a segment ring having parallel gaps inside the segment and bridging portions formed across the outer ends of the gaps, whereby the parallel space is elongated along one of the bridging portions; fourth, the segment ring is molded with an insulating material; finally, the outer surface of the segment ring is cut to remove the bridging portions, thereby to complete the commutator.
