  • Patent number: 7035760
Abstract: There is disclosed an information processing apparatus which easily acquires calibration information required to transform the measured value of a position and orientation sensor into the position and orientation of an image sensing device on a world coordinate system, without using any special calibration tool. When a position and orientation of the image sensing device by attaching a receiver of a position and orientation sensor which comprises a transmitter and a receiver, approximate calibration information required for a coordinate transformation that transforms the position and orientation of the receiver into those of the image sensing device will be calculated by the following steps.

  • Patent number: 6971335
Abstract: A water heater is provided in which neutralization process of drain is not required and an excellent heat efficiency is achieved. A route of exhaust gas which is passing through the main heat exchanger 18 is divided into a first exhaust gas chamber 23 having a secondary heat exchanger 19 and a second exhaust gas chamber 24 having a drain evaporator. Because of this, hot exhaust gas which is passing through only the main heat exchanger 18 flows into both the secondary heat exchanger 19 and the drain evaporator 100. Therefore, in the secondary heat exchanger 19 exhaust gas heat can be efficiently recovered by utilizing the hot exhaust gas, and in the drain evaporator 100 drain can be evaporated efficiently by utilizing the hot exhaust gas.

  • Publication number: 20050201840
Abstract: A cutting tool for simultaneously carrying out a facing operation and a grooving operation on a target surface has a facing part and a grooving part that protrudes from and may be integrally formed with the facing part. The facing part has a facing surface for carrying out the facing operation and the grooving part has a grooving surface and is for cutting a groove of a specified depth and width on the target surface simultaneously as the cutting tool is moved in a specified forward direction parallel to the target surface. The dimensions of the facing and grooving parts, the roughness of their surfaces, the angles of their cutting edges and the sloping angles of the facing and grooving surfaces with respect to the forward direction are each required to be within a specified range. Where the grooving part protrudes from the facing part, the corners at which the facing surface joins the side surfaces of the grooving part are formed such that each corner has a beveled surface portion.

  • Patent number: 6912999
Abstract: A method of controlling fuel injection is disclosed which enables highly accurate fuel injection and an enhanced durability of fuel injection valves in an internal combustion engine using an SPI system. The engine has a plurality of fuel injection valves disposed in an intake passage on an upstream side of a collector portion of an intake manifold of the internal combustion engine so that fuel is supplied to a plurality of cylinders of the engine by fuel injection from the fuel injection valves. The method includes alternately operating the plurality of fuel injection valves so as to supply the fuel when an intake airflow is a low flow rate equal to or less than a predetermined value, and simultaneously operating the plurality of fuel injection valves so as to supply the fuel when the intake airflow is a high flow rate more than the predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20050133021
Abstract: A hot water apparatus is provided in which heat recovery is performed as much as possible allowing drain to be generated and excellent heat efficiency is achieved without providing a plurality of heat exchangers by effectively evaporating generated drain. In a water heater 1, the drain evaporator 11 is disposed inclining so that its side facing the high temperature portion of the heat exchanger 10 is at a lower position. The generated drain drops on the drain receiver guiding portion 28, and moves by its own weight to the side facing the high temperature portion. Then the drain is heated and evaporated. In this evaporation, the same amount of heat as that of recovered latent heat is discharged to the exhaust gas, however, sensible heat can be recovered as much as possible without limiting drain generation in the heat exchanger 10.

  • Publication number: 20040245034
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for protecting an engine are disclosed which are capable of preventing damage to the engine or associated parts thereof. The engine is provided with an electronic control fuel injection system. A quasi-abnormality of at least one of variables in connection with the engine and the associated parts thereof, such as an engine cooling water, a fuel pressure or the like is detected by a sensor. When the quasi-abnormality of the variable and such a quasi-abnormal state lasts for a predetermined period of time, a throttle opening of an electronic control throttle is regulated so as to limit an engine rotational speed to a low rate.

  • Publication number: 20040177769
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a conveyer oven having a high heat efficiency and excellent cooking performance. Foods F are carried into a heating chamber 10 by a conveyer 60 and conveyed to the upper portion of the heating chamber. While the foods F are conveyed at the upper portion of the heating chamber, an eject nozzle 45 blows hot air to the foods F and simultaneously foods F are surrounded with remaining hot air. When cooking is finished, the foods F are conveyed downward to be carried out from the heating chamber 10. Therefore, heat from a heating means 20 is used effectively for cooking, that means heat efficiency is improved, which reduces fuel cost. Moreover, since the foods F are surrounded with remaining hot air, the foods F are evenly heated all over, whereby cooking performance is improved.
