  • Patent number: 4311179
Abstract: A motocross tire for motorcycles comprising a tread pattern including blocks divided into a plurality of block groups. The block groups has adjacent blocks whose centers are circumferentially displaced by 3 to 25 mm. All of the blocks are arranged such that a ratio of a ground contact area of the blocks to an apparent ground contact area of the tire changes within a range of .+-.0.05 in response to a change of the camber angle of the tire.

  • Patent number: 4252589
Abstract: A mark indication is formed on the tire side wall by sticking partially vulcanized thin rubber sheets provided with mark indications on one side of said sheets along the circumferential direction of the green case at the outer surface corresponding to the side wall of the green case formed on a former and tightly adhering the rubber sheet integrally to the side wall through molding the green case into a toroidal form and vulcanizing said green case.

  • Patent number: 4126051
Abstract: This invention relates to a channel selector suitable for use in a television receiver set. The channel selector comprises a channel selecting shaft which is linked to a variable capacitor shaft through an Oldham coupler. A fine tuning shaft also is linked to the variable capacitor shaft through a coupler incorporating an incremental detent arrangement.Selection of a channel is made by turning the channel selection shaft to move the variable capacitor shaft by a suitable angle (for instance, about 2.degree.). When the channel selection shaft is turned by such an amount, the coupler slips so as to allow the variable capacitor shaft to turn independently of the fine tuning means. Once a channel is selected, fine tuning is made by slightly turning (for instance, within 0.3.degree.) the fine tuning shaft to correspondingly rotate the shaft of the variable capacitor. The channel selector also comprises means for memorizing the results of the fine adjustments for individual channels.

  • Patent number: 4074089
Abstract: The present invention relates to a multiple push-switch apparatus comprising an exclusion mechanism which includes a plurality of slidably supported operation bodies and a flexible body, any one of said plurality of operation bodies being able to move by means of said flexible body, and a plurality of electric switches which are driven by said plurality of operation bodies, respectively. In addition, there is provided a multiple push-switch apparatus especially suitable as a station selecting apparatus for a television receiver. The apparatus can be operated by the use of a soft touch, permits the employment of various operation body arrangements, and prevents simultaneous operation of a plurality of electric switches by mistake.

  • Patent number: RE29832
Abstract: A mangle wheel having first and second toothed portions arranged in outer and inner arcuate paths forming a continuous loop is rotatably mounted on a support which is pivotally mounted within a housing. A gear is engaged with the continuous loop of teeth to drive the mangle wheel in one direction at a low speed and in the opposite direction at a high speed. A printer head unit is slidably mounted on a guide shaft pivotally mounted on the side walls of the housing. Rotation of the mangle wheel is transmitted to longitudinal movement of the printer head unit to thereby move the same in one direction to effect scanning and in the opposite direction to quickly return the same to the original position. The printer head unit is also movable transversely between an active position in which the head unit is in contact with the plane of a sheet of recording paper and an inactive position disengaged from contact with the paper surface.
