  • Patent number: 6868302
Abstract: In a thermal processing apparatus irradiating a substrate with light from a lamp for heating the substrate, an opening is formed in a reflector for mounting a camera unit. The camera unit images three portions of an auxiliary ring supporting the substrate, for obtaining the position of the center of the auxiliary ring before the thermal processing apparatus receives the substrate therein. The camera unit further images the substrate for obtaining the position of the center of the substrate before the thermal processing apparatus receives the substrate therein and places the same on the auxiliary ring. The thermal processing apparatus moves the substrate so that the center thereof coincides with the center of the auxiliary ring, and thereafter places the former on the latter.

  • Patent number: 6823706
Abstract: A steel wire, 0.10-0.40 mm in diameter, obtained by subjecting a high-carbon (0.70-0.90 wt. %) steel wire material to heat treatment and wire drawing, wherein its tensile strength and test values of special repeated torsional tests satisfy a predetermined relation; and a method of manufacturing the same. A high strength steel wire which has so high a ductility as to substantially prevent the wire from being broken even during wire twisting, and which rarely encounters a decrease in the ductility even after the wire has been subjected to age hardening by heating, is obtained, and a method of manufacturing the same is economical.

  • Patent number: 6816153
Abstract: A touch-panel device including a conductive membrane, current measurement resistors which are connected at one end to both ends of the conductive membrane and which are connected at the other end to one another, an oscillator which is connected on one end to the connection point of the current measurement resistors and is connected on its other end to the ground, and a serial connection circuit of a switch and a load impedance which circuit is connected between the ground side of the oscillator and one end of the conductive membrane. The touch-panel device measures voltages V10 and V20 of both resistors and calculates Rk/Ro=V20/(V10−V20) by turning the switch ON. When a touch position is to be measured, substitute Rk/Ro to the equation of RL/Ro=Rk(V2−V1)/R(V1+V2)+V2/(V1+V2) so as to obtain a touch position. Therefore, touch position detection accuracy is improved and the cost is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6290529
Abstract: An adapter, for a terminal unit, comprising a base housing having a mount surface for mounting of a terminal unit. A receptive space is defined by a plurality of walls on a part of the mount surface. A pair of guide rails are formed on the mount surface of the base housing, so as to be slidably engaged with the terminal unit. Overhanging guide plates extending from opposed side walls have edges facing to the mount surface, so as to be slidably engaged with the terminal unit. The guides rails and the edges serve to guide the terminal unit to introduce a part of the terminal unit into the receptive space. A pair of protrusions are formed on the mount surface, so as to be engaged with the terminal unit. The protrusions serve to detachably hold the terminal unit in a proper position on the mount surface to maintain the functional connection between the adapter and the terminal unit.
