  • Patent number: 11666441
Abstract: Methods and devices for transvascular prosthetic chordae tendineae implantation are disclosed. A catheter is advanced into the left atrium. From an atrium side, a leaflet anchor having a leaflet suture is secured to the mitral valve leaflet. A ventricular anchor is anchored to the wall of the ventricle to secure the ventricular wall to a ventricle suture. The leaflet suture and the ventricle suture may be tensioned and connected by a suture lock to form an artificial chordae. The suture lock has a body with a suture path extending therethrough. A wall in the housing is movable to reduce the cross section of the suture path. A drive mechanism advances the movable wall to clamp sutures extending through the suture path, in response to rotation of a coupling on the housing.

  • Publication number: 20230166733
Abstract: In various examples, live perception from sensors of a vehicle may be leveraged to detect and classify intersections in an environment of a vehicle in real-time or near real-time. For example, a deep neural network (DNN) may be trained to compute various outputs—such as bounding box coordinates for intersections, intersection coverage maps corresponding to the bounding boxes, intersection attributes, distances to intersections, and/or distance coverage maps associated with the intersections. The outputs may be decoded and/or post-processed to determine final locations of, distances to, and/or attributes of the detected intersections.

  • Publication number: 20230153251
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a computer system with a cache memory that supports tagless addressing. During operation, the system receives a request to perform a memory access, wherein the request includes a virtual address. In response to the request, the system performs an address-translation operation, which translates the virtual address into both a physical address and a cache address. Next, the system uses the physical address to access one or more levels of physically addressed cache memory, wherein accessing a given level of physically addressed cache memory involves performing a tag-checking operation based on the physical address. If the access to the one or more levels of physically addressed cache memory fails to hit on a cache line for the memory access, the system uses the cache address to directly index a cache memory, wherein directly indexing the cache memory does not involve performing a tag-checking operation and eliminates the tag storage overhead.

  • Patent number: 11650290
Abstract: Determining a target's range profiles is an important issue for coastal surveillance radars because it can give us the knowledge about the target, for example, target's type, target's structure and its length along radial direction. Some modern radars nowaday are equipped with the feature of target's range profile extraction, but the results are not accurate due to limitations in processing algorithms. The invention “system and method of determining target's range profiles for coastal surveillance radars” solves the above problem in the direction of proposing a system of technical solutions and associated algorithm improvements.

  • Patent number: 11651211
Abstract: Techniques for training a first neural network (NN) model using a pre-trained second NN model are disclosed. In an example, training data is input to the first and second models. The training data includes masked tokens and unmasked tokens. In response, the first model generates a first prediction associated with a masked token and a second prediction associated with an unmasked token, and the second model generates a third prediction associated with the masked token and a fourth prediction associated with the unmasked token. The first model is trained, based at least in part on the first, second, third, and fourth predictions. In another example, a prediction associated with a masked token, a prediction associated with an unmasked token, and a prediction associated with whether two sentences of training data are adjacent sentences are received from each of the first and second models. The first model is trained using the predictions.

  • Publication number: 20230133583
Abstract: Techniques and systems are described for performing semantic text searches. A semantic text-searching solution uses a machine learning system (such as a deep learning system) to determine associations between the semantic meanings of words. These associations are not limited by the spelling, syntax, grammar, or even definition of words. Instead, the associations can be based on the context in which characters, words, and/or phrases are used in relation to one another. In response to detecting a request to locate text within an electronic document associated with a keyword, the semantic text-searching solution can return strings within the document that have matching and/or related semantic meanings or contexts, in addition to exact matches (e.g., string matches) within the document. The semantic text-searching solution can then output an indication of the matching strings.

  • Publication number: 20230121392
Abstract: Solid state sources offer potential advantages including high brightness, electricity savings, long lifetime, and higher color rendering capability, when compared to incandescent and fluorescent light sources. To date however, many of these advantages have not been borne out in providing white LED lamps for general lighting applications. The inventors have established that surface recombination through non-radiative processes results in highly inefficient electrical injection. Exploiting in-situ grown shells in combination with dot-in-a-wire LED structures to overcome this limitation through the effective lateral confinement offered by the shell, the inventors have demonstrated core-shell dot-in-a-wire LEDs with significantly improved electrical injection efficiency and output power, providing phosphor-free InGaN/GaN nanowire white LEDs operating with milliwatt output power and color rendering indices of 95-98.
