  • Publication number: 20170139764
Abstract: In one aspect, multiple data path error collection is provided in a storage management system. In one embodiment, an error condition in a main data path between the storage controller and at least one of a host and a storage unit is detected, and in response, a sequence of error data collection operations to collect error data through a main path is initiated. In response to a failure to collect error data at a level of the sequential error data collection operations, error data is collected through an alternate data path as a function of the error data collection level at which the failure occurred. Other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20170118146
Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for using send buffers and receive buffers for sending messages among nodes in a network. A send buffer is provided for each of at least one receiving node comprising one of the nodes to which messages are sent. Each of the receiving nodes includes at least one receive buffer to receive messages from the send buffer at the sending node. A determination is made of a buffer entry for a send buffer and receive buffer pair that is available for use. Indication is made of the message in the determined buffer entry of the send buffer. The message is sent from the send buffer to the receiving node indicating the determined buffer entry in which the message is indicated to cause the receiving node to include the message in the indicated buffer entry in the receive buffer.

  • Patent number: 9624578
Abstract: Methods for depositing film on substrates are provided. In these embodiments, the substrates are processed in batches. Due to changing conditions within a reaction chamber as additional substrates in the batch are processed, various film properties may trend over the course of a batch. The methods herein can be used to address the trending of film properties over the course of a batch. More specifically, film property trending is minimized by changing the amount of RF power used to process substrates over the course of the batch. Such methods are sometimes referred to as RF compensation methods.

  • Patent number: 9614567
Abstract: Various embodiments provide systems and methods for recovering from a stall on a mobile communication device. A mobile communication device may receive a data block from a network through a communications channel, where the data block has a block sequence number. The mobile communication may determine whether the block sequence number of the data block is within a receive window and increment a stall counter when the block sequence number is outside of the receive window. The mobile communication device may perform an abnormal release from the communications channel when the stall counter reaches a threshold.

  • Patent number: 9606835
Abstract: A plurality of processing entities in which a plurality of tasks are executed are maintained. Memory access patterns are determined for each of the plurality of tasks by dividing a memory associated with the plurality of processing entities into a plurality of memory regions, and for each of the plurality of tasks, determining how many memory accesses take place in each of the memory regions, by incrementing a counter associated with each memory region in response to a memory access. Each of the plurality of tasks are allocated among the plurality of processing entities, based on the determined memory access patterns for each of the plurality of tasks.

  • Publication number: 20170082650
Abstract: A method for determining a flow speed of a liquid in a fluid conduit is provided. During a signal-generating phase, an impulse signal is applied to a first ultrasonic transducer. A response signal is then received at a second ultrasonic transducer. A measuring signal is later derived from the response signal, wherein the derivation comprises reversing a signal portion with respect to time. During a measurement phase, a liquid moves with respect to the fluid conduit. The measuring signal is then applied to one of the two transducers and a response signal of the measuring signal is measured at the other transducer. A flow speed is derived from the response signal of the measuring signal.
