  • Publication number: 20160140599
Abstract: Techniques for automatic discovery of high-performance features for customer LTV optimization via low-variance random projection are described. In one or more implementations, a random projection matrix is generated that is usable to compress a dataset representing a plurality of features associated with one or more customers. Using a first subset of the plurality of features, a simulator is created to model customer behavior. In addition, a policy is trained to determine which advertisements to present to a new customer based on a second subset of the plurality of features. In implementations, the policy is trained by at least using the random projection matrix to compress the second subset of the plurality of features. Subsequently, a performance of the policy is evaluated using the simulator to determine a level of the performance of the policy.

  • Publication number: 20160130511
Abstract: A process for recovering hydrocarbons from a slurry hydrocracking reactor. The hydrocarbons are recovered by taking a drag stream of the slurry in the reactor. After separating lighter hydrocarbons in a separation zone, the heavier hydrocarbons can be processed in a deashing zone, with a vacuum column bottoms from a separation of the effluent stream recovered from the reactor. The deashing zone can recover the heavier hydrocarbons in a deashed pitch. Additionally, a VGO rich stream from the deashing zone may be recycled back to the reactor.

  • Publication number: 20160130871
Abstract: A mounting system for a roller blind includes a tension bar for mounting under pressure between first and second sides of a windows frame. The tension bar may provide both long and short adjustment of mounting system width. The tension bar extends through a hollow roller tube of the roller blind, and through a clutch mechanism of the roller blind, and is coupled to end mounting fixtures. The length of the tension bar may be adjusted as a long adjustment of mounting width. Various mechanisms may be associated with one or both of the end mounting fixtures for short adjustment of mounting width, such as a latch mechanism, wedge mechanism, spring-loaded mechanism, or turn-buckle system. End pads at the ends of the blind provide friction and absorb excess pressure. The mounting mechanism serves as a universal window blind bracket and support rod, which requires no screws or nails to install.

  • Publication number: 20160127404
Abstract: Systems and methods can support a computational signal processing architecture for electromagnetic signature analysis and threat detection. A plurality of sensor antennas can couple a radio frequency signal into a radio receiver. The radio receiver can generate digital samples of the signal. A raw signal analysis engine can identify signal features within the digital samples, generate signal feature vectors from the identified signal features, decode signal content from the signal feature vectors, and transmit the signal feature vectors into a signal feature network. The signal feature vectors may be aggregated from the signal feature network into a signal aggregation and analysis engine. The signal aggregation and analysis engine can refine feature vectors through processing such as identifying wireless attacks according to the signal features within the signal feature vectors. One or more operator interfaces and one or more analysis databases may support these operations.

  • Patent number: 9330776
Abstract: A high voltage step regulator, such as would be used to provide a regulated low voltage (on the order of a few volts) from a high voltage external supply (e.g. 12V), is presented. To protect the output transistor, through which the output is provided from the input, from breakdown, a depletion type device is connected between the supply and the output transistor. The control gate of the depletion device is then connected to the output level of the regulator. This reduces the voltage drop across the output transistor, helping to avoid violating design rules (EDR) on how great a voltage differential can be placed across the output transistor. Examples of applications for such a circuit are for various operating voltages on a non-volatile memory chip operating with a high voltage power supply.

  • Publication number: 20160090650
Abstract: The embodiments herein relate to methods, apparatus, and systems for depositing film on substrates. In these embodiments, the substrates are processed in batches. Due to changing conditions within a reaction chamber as additional substrates in the batch are processed, various film properties may trend over the course of a batch. Disclosed herein are methods and apparatus for minimizing the trending of film properties over the course of a batch. More specifically, film property trending is minimized by changing the amount of RF power used to process substrates over the course of the batch. Such methods are sometimes referred to as RF compensation methods.
