    Abstract: Techniques for using more-specific routing to perform scalable Layer-2 (L2) stretching of subnets across hybrid-cloud environments. Routing tables in a public cloud may allow for routes that are more specific than the default local route, and the more-specific routes may be used to send all traffic to a dedicated, cloud router. The more-specific routes are set up for a VPC where a subnet resides such that the more specific-routes cover at least a portion of subnet range. The next hop for the more-specific routes point to the cloud router which is capable of doing host routing and segmentation extension. Thus, traffic originating from endpoints in a VPC is routed to the cloud router, and the cloud router determines whether the traffic is to be re-routed back to a destination endpoint in the VPC (or another cloud location), or sent to a destination endpoint residing in the on-premises site.

    Abstract: One embodiment provides a method comprising determining multi-dimensional metadata corresponding to an input image, and determining ambient light information indicative of a level of ambient light in an ambient environment of a display device. The multi-dimensional metadata comprises a cumulative distribution function (CDF) of pixels in the input image. The method further comprises determining, based on the multi-dimensional metadata and the ambient light information, one or more gains that adaptively compensate for the level of ambient light in the ambient environment. The method further comprises generating a tone mapping function based on the one or more gains, and applying the tone mapping function to the input image to generate a tone-mapped image that adaptively compensates for the level of ambient light in the ambient environment. The tone-mapped image is provided to the display device for presentation.

The outputs may be decoded and/or otherwise post-processed to reconstruct an intersection—or key points corresponding thereto—and to determine proposed or potential paths for navigating the vehicle through the intersection.

In embodiments, such a process comprises: (a) delivering a draw solution to a draw chamber of a forward osmosis module, the draw solution comprising water and sulfuric acid at a draw acid concentration, wherein the draw solution is free of vanadium cations; and (b) delivering a feed solution to a feed chamber of the forward osmosis module, the draw and feed chambers separated by a membrane, the feed solution comprising water, vanadium cations, and sulfuric acid at a feed acid concentration that is lower than the draw acid concentration, wherein water passes across the membrane from the feed solution to the draw solution, thereby providing a concentrated vanadium electrolyte solution as a feed chamber output and a diluted acid solution as a draw chamber output.

An altered association is determined as a function of the association for entities and the inference rules. A check is made as to whether a difference between the base association and the altered association falls below a threshold value. When it does, an association of the target entities with the clusters is output or stored. Otherwise, a feedback value is determined as a function of the difference.
