Abstract: The present invention provides a method and circuit for equalizing and compensating IQ imbalance at the same time. The method includes: down-converting an RF signal to generate a baseband signal, and driving an adaptive equalizer to process the baseband signal for achieving equalization and IQ imbalance compensation simultaneously.

Abstract: A method for improving variable length decoding performance is provided. A variable length decoding module decodes a coded data to obtain a decoded data and a subsequent module receives the decoded data to perform further processing. A buffering module is coupled between the variable length decoding module and the subsequent module, and buffers the decoded data decoded by the variable length decoding module. A read part of the buffering module is cleared so that a content of an unused area of the buffering module is a predetermined value when the subsequent module reads the decoded data from the buffering module, wherein the unused area is a part of the buffering module except for the unread decoded data. The variable length decoding module does not write zero values of the decoded data into the buffering module when the variable length decoding module reads a zero output instruction among the coded data.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods and compositions for treating various diseases through selective killipg of targeted cells using a combinatorial targeting approach. The invention features protoxin fusion proteins containing a cell targeting moiety and, a modifiable activation moiety which is activated by an activation moiety not naturally operably found in, on, or in the vicinity of a target cell. These methods also include the combinatorial use of two or more therapeutic agents, at minimum comprising a protoxin and a protoxin activator, to target and destroy a specific cell population.

Abstract: A method for providing Internet services by a portal device capable of electronically communicating with at least one user terminal over a communication medium is provided. The method includes connecting to at least one user terminal, detecting hardware capabilities of the at least one user terminal and saving the hardware capabilities as a configuration file for a first connection between the portal device and the at least one user terminal, receiving a service request indicating a service selected by the at least one user terminal, and executing the selected service dependent on the configuration file of the at least one user terminal and transmitting results to the at least one user terminal. A system providing the Internet services by the portal device is also provided.

When the electrical energy storage device is electrically connected with a receive unit of the solar unit in parallel, the electrical energy storage device can have the advantages of high electric energy density, enhancing the charging efficiency of the solar cell, and reducing the charging time of the solar cell.

Abstract: A portable body temperature continuous monitoring system includes a wearable thermal detecting device, a recording device, a displaying device and an alarming device. The recording device records and stores a human body temperature detected by the wearable thermal detecting device, and then transmits a temperature signal to the displaying device and the alarming device through a wireless method. Thereby, remote and continuous monitoring of a patient's body temperature through the displaying device is possible. Besides, since the system is capable of communicating outward through the alarming device, the patient's abnormal body temperature can be reported to others so that proper treatment can be conducted timely.

Abstract: A circuit substrate includes an electrically conductive layer having electrically conductive patterns formed therein, an insulating layer having a through hole, and a composite layer positioned between the electrically conductive layer and the insulating layer. The through hole is configured for having an electronic component mounted thereon. The composite layer includes a polymer matrix and at least one carbon nanotube bundle embedded in the polymer matrix. One end of the at least one carbon nanotube bundle contacts the electrically conductive patterns, and the other is exposed in the through hole of the insulation layer.

Abstract: A semiconductor wafer with an adhesive protection layer includes: a wafer body having a first surface and an opposing second surface; a plurality of electrical connection pads formed on the second surface of the wafer body; and the adhesive protection layer formed on the second surface of the wafer body and the plurality of electrical connection pads, wherein the protection layer is made of a material including a photosensitive adhesive, a thermal-setting adhesive and a dielectric material. The protection layer not only isolates circuits on the wafer surface from external moisture and contaminant, but also can be patterned and is adhesive, such that the wafer can be mounted to a circuit substrate in a subsequent process by the protection layer, without having to apply an additional adhesive on the wafer, thereby greatly simplifying the wafer-substrate attachment procedure during package fabrication processes.

A method for transmitting information includes encoding a block of N bits, where N is an integer, demultiplexing the encoded block of N bits into at least one subblock of systematic bits and at least one subblock of parity bits, and permuting the at least one subblock of systematic bits and the at least one subblock of parity bits to generate at least one permuted subblock. The method also includes forming at least one output block from the at least one permuted subblock, computing a starting position of a redundancy version for a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmission based on a relationship between N and a threshold, and transmitting the redundancy version. The redundancy version begins at the computed starting position and ends when a specified number of bits has been transmitted.
