    Abstract: An optical diode laser touch-control device includes two light emitters and a plurality of receivers around a touch-acting area of a touch panel. The light emitters are disposed on two adjacent corners of the touch panel in the touch-acting area, and each employs a diode laser to continuously project a diffused light through a lens for covering the touch-acting area to form an interlaced touch screen. The receivers, which are capable of receiving the diffused light, are disposed on the touch panel around the touch-acting area to receive the diffused light. As a finger touches the touch-acting area of the touch panel, a part of the diffused light is blocked from being projected onto the receivers, and the touch position of the touch-acting area may be calculated accordingly.

The copolymer has transparency greater than 90%, thermal resistance greater than 130° C., and moisture absorption less than 0.5 wt %, such that the copolymer may be applied as packaging material for a light emitting device.

    Abstract: A protection device for an output power source of an electronic device includes a compare unit, an invert unit and a switch unit. The compare unit is coupled with the output power source and receives an input voltage value and a predetermined voltage value from the output power source. The compare unit compares the input voltage value and the predetermined voltage value to generate a comparison signal. The invert unit is coupled with the compare unit and receives the comparison signal to generate an inverted signal. The switch unit is coupled with the output power source and the invert unit, and receives the inverted signal. If the input voltage value is higher than the predetermined voltage value, the switch unit turns on and outputs an output voltage, and if the input voltage value is lower than the predetermined voltage value, the switch unit turns off and has no output.

    Abstract: A stable system for producing liquid products such as ethanol, butanol and other chemicals from syngas components contacts CO or a mixture of CO2 and H2 with a hydrophilic membrane under anaerobic conditions and transfers these components into contact with microorganisms contained as a biofilm on the membrane. Maintaining the microorganisms as a biolayer on the surface of the membrane facilitates cleaning of the membrane surface that retains the biofilm. In addition the shell gas space that surrounds the membranes may be flooded to reduce or remove the biofilm. Agitation of the liquid, by for example the bubbling of gas in the surrounding shell space, can fully or partially remove the biofilm from the membrane.

The present invention provides methods of prognosis and diagnosis of multidrug resistant tumors through detection of the expression levels of nuclear co-repressor 2 (“N-CoR2”), histone deacetylases 3 (“HDAC3”), and their associated gene expression biomarkers. The present invention also provides methods of sensitizing tumors to anti-tumor therapeutics by disrupting HDAC3 activation, abrogating the N-CoR2-HDAC3 interaction, inhibiting the activity of either protein, or by down-regulating the expression of either protein.

The first dopant and the second dopant are compensative, and the number ratio of the first dopant to the second dopant is approximately 2 to 1.

    Abstract: A cue stick includes a shaft, a solid force-transmitting pipe, a butt, and a wooden fitting portion. This shaft includes a tip, a solid portion, a hollow portion and a connecting portion. This solid force-transmitting pipe contains an inner space. The butt connects with the shaft. The wooden fitting portion fills in the inner space. The density of the wooden fitting portion is between 80% and 120% of the density of the solid portion. So, the weight and size are nearly same as the ones of a traditional solid wood cue stick. The total weight of the cue stick is proper. Its internal force transmission is evenly distributed. Plus, the feedback feeling for striking the cue ball is excellent.
