  • Publication number: 20100057935
Abstract: A record medium on which a load distribution program capable of dynamically determining a service providing server which can provide a service of high quality according to a place where a client is installed is recorded. A delay time determination section analyzes a request sent from a client, identifies a position on a network of the client, and determines processing delay time the client takes to receive a response from each data center on the basis of a communication path between the position of the client and a position on the network of each data center. An allocation determination section preferentially selects a data center which can provide a service to the client after shortest processing delay time as a recommended data center on the basis of the processing delay time determined by the delay time determination section. A service allocation section makes a server in the recommended data center provide the service to the client which outputted the request.

Abstract: An auditing apparatus in an auditing system receives entire logs including a hashed log in which a log about another customer is hashed by a one-way function, and a log of a subject customer from a log storage server of a center. The center receives all the management logs, and the auditing apparatus generates a management log in which all the logs of the subject customers are hashed among the received management logs, and receives the entirely hashed management log from the hashed log publishing sever of the center. The auditing apparatus compares the management log hashed by itself, and the received management log (hashed) with each other, and verifies log validity.

  • Patent number: 6986669
Abstract: A contact member formed with a flat metal structure and an integrated elastomeric body. The contact member can be used to ground a printed circuit board (PCB) with a surrounding housing. The housing loads the contact member in a direction perpendicular to the face of the PCB. The elastomeric body supports the flat metal structure during repeated cycles of loading and unloading of the contact member. The elastic resiliency of the elastomeric body can help to reduce the effects of plastic deformation of the contact member, resulting in more reliable electrical connections a source outside of the PCB. And the elastomeric body does not require adhesive or separate fixing devices to hold it in place.

  • Patent number: 6945628
Abstract: In an ink jet printing apparatus that performs printing by using an ink and a processing liquid that renders the ink insoluble, an effect the mist of the processing liquid or substances insolubilized by it has on the ejection performance of the ink head or processing liquid head is reduced. The distance between the processing liquid head 101S and the print paper 103 carried by the belt 111 is set larger than the head-to-paper distances of other heads 101Bk, 101C, 101M, 101Y. As a result, the mist generated by the ejection of the processing liquid from the head 101S diffuses in a recessed space formed by the heads 101Bk and 101C on both sides of the head 101S and thus hardly reaches the ink nozzle surfaces of these heads on both sides.

  • Publication number: 20050193113
Abstract: A method to automatically allocate servers to network services in a data center in real time and without need for operators for a load sharing device is provided. In the method, fluctuations in quantity of requests arriving at the network services can be monitored, the value of the quantity of requests for a subsequent fixed time interval can be predicted and, in accordance with the magnitude of the predicted value of the quantity of requests, the quantity of servers allocated to the network services can be controlled. Here, where traffic of the quantity indicated by the predicted value of the quantity of requests arrives at the network services, the number of servers allocated to the network services can be set in such a way that the average response time to the user terminals is equivalent to a response time threshold value or less set in advance by the operations manager.

  • Publication number: 20050144280
Abstract: A system comprises a front-stage center for directly receiving a request from a client through a network, and a back-stage center for receiving the request from the client through the front-stage center. The front-stage and back-stage centers have stand-by servers, respectively. The front-stage center provides a service using a normal server. When detecting that a load on the server increases, a first system control device provides a server for providing the service the load of which increases from the stand-by server commonly provided for a first service and a second service. If the load cannot be supported even by the provision of the server, the first system control device issues an instruction to a second system control device of the back-stage center to support the provision of the service. If the back-stage control device cannot support the load using a normal server, it supports the load using the stand-by server.
