  • Publication number: 20040175972
Abstract: A contact member formed with a flat metal structure and an integrated elastomeric body. The contact member can be used to ground a printed circuit board (PCB) with a surrounding housing. The housing loads the contact member in a direction perpendicular to the face of the PCB. The elastomeric body supports the flat metal structure during repeated cycles of loading and unloading of the contact member. The elastic resiliency of the elastomeric body can help to reduce the effects of plastic deformation of the contact member, resulting in more reliable electrical connections a source outside of the PCB. And the elastomeric body does not require adhesive or separate fixing devices to hold it in place.

  • Patent number: 6615582
Abstract: Disclosed is a rotor supportable at a side surface thereof by a needle bearing. The side face includes a bearing face with lubricating oil grooves formed therein, and is to be brought into contact with the needle bearing upon assembly. The oil grooves are arranged in a positional relation ship with needles of the needle bearing such that the oil grooves and the needles of the needle bearing do not completely overlap each other along an entire circumference in a direction of rotation. The rotor can be a bush for a one-way clutch, an inner peripheral portion of a stator of a torque converter, or an outer ring of a one-way clutch, said outer ring also serving as an inner peripheral portion of a stator of a torque converter. Preferably, the oil grooves may each be provided with a groove part extending substantially in a direction of a tangent to a raceway circle for said needles.

  • Patent number: 6550882
Abstract: In an ink jet printing apparatus that performs printing by using an ink and a processing liquid that renders the ink insoluble, an effect the mist of the processing liquid or substances insolubilized by it has on the ejection performance of the ink head or processing liquid head is reduced. The distance between the processing liquid head 101S and the print paper 103 carried by the belt 111 is set larger than the head-to-paper distances of other heads 101Bk, 101C, 101M, 101Y. As a result, the mist generated by the ejection of the processing liquid from the head 101S diffuses in a recessed space formed by the heads 101Bk and 101C on both sides of the head 101S and thus hardly reaches the ink nozzle surfaces of these heads on both sides.

  • Patent number: 6538197
Abstract: In a conductive member 1, an arm part 21 is bent back from an end of a joint part 11, and a contact part 31 is formed from a portion of the arm part 21, thereby reducing displacement of a contact area between the contact part 31 and a grounding conductor 60 at the time of elastic deformation of the contact part 31. As a result, a desirable grounding condition can be ensured. Also, in such structure, no parts other than the joint part 11 abut on a printed circuit board 50. Consequently, the conductive member 1 can be used on a densely integrated printed circuit board. Furthermore, the contact part 31 is received within a receiving hole of the arm part 21 when elastically deformed. Slippage of the contact part 31 is thus restricted within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 6209827
Abstract: A clamp device which can be easily attached/detached and securely fixed to a board. In order to attach an electric wire bundle clamp to the board, a leg portion of the clamp is inserted in a circular hole of an attachment hole provided in the board, while engaging protruding pieces of the clamp are similarly inserted into notches of the board. Subsequently, the electric wire bundle clamp is rotated 90 degrees, allowing a portion of the board around the circular hole to be held between a base on the surface of the board and the engaging protruding pieces contacting on the underside of the board. Once rotated an engagement protrusion comes to rest in an engagement hole of the board preventing further rotation and firmly fixing the clamp device relatively to the board.

  • Patent number: 6137504
Abstract: The present invention enables a more reliable and stable recovery operation on an ink jet head in which a shoulder is formed on a discharge port surface thereof. In the recovery operation, the discharge portion surface having an inclined surface portion constituting the shoulder is cleaned by a blade which is a rubber-like elastic member and which is movable on an axis on which discharge ports are arrayed on the discharge port surface. A distal end portion of the blade is parallel to the inclined surface portion and has a width which allows at least one edge of the blade to be within the inclined surface portion. Consequently, the blade can be pressed against the discharge port surface under a uniform contact pressure, and excellent cleaning can thus be achieved.

  • Patent number: 6021286
Abstract: A developing portion forms a toner image, which corresponds to a recording image, with a toner which has been electrically charged to a predetermined electrical potential. A transfer portion, to which an electric potential, different from the electric potential of the toner image, is applied, transfers the toner image onto a recording medium. A first transfer-electric-potential applying portion applies a transfer electric potential to the transfer portion. A carrying portion carries the recording medium so as to cause the recording medium to pass by the transfer portion. A second transfer-electric-potential applying portion sets the recording medium and the carrying portion to cause the recording medium and the carrying portion to have a predetermined electric potential corresponding to the transfer electric potential of the transfer portion.

  • Patent number: 5946523
Abstract: A toner developing quantity detection unit operates a plurality of electrostatic recording units to transfer Y, M, C and K color component toner marks onto a belt. A toner developing quantity correction unit detects toner developing quantities per unit area of color toners on the basis of detection signals of the color component toner marks on the belt optically detected by a sensor. The toner developing quantity correction unit corrects the toner developing quantities so as to allow the toner consuming quantities of the plurality of electrostatic recording units to be substantially the same level, on the basis of the thus detected toner developing quantities.
