  • Publication number: 20020031201
Abstract: The rotary member carrying the X-ray radiation unfit and the X-ray detection unit and rotated around a subject is used as the rotor. The rotor is provided with a rotor core and a plurality of conductors connected to the core. The stator has at least one set of stator core and stator winding, the at least one set of stator core and stator winding being adapted to clamp the rotor and arranged at opposing positions. A three-phase AC current is supplied to the stator winding to generate a rotating magnetic field to rotate the rotor and thereby rotate the rotary member at high speed. Because the scan time can be reduced, the X-ray CT scanner can scan such moving organs as heart.

  • Patent number: 6101350
Abstract: A photosensitive member cartridge, having a photosensitive drum, is provided with guide grooves formed in opposite side walls of the photosensitive member cartridge. The guide grooves extend in an accurate shape from an upwardly open accommodating portion to a vicinity of a shaft of the photosensitive drum. A shaft of a developing roller has protruded opposite end portions that protrude outward from opposite sides of a case of a developer cartridge. The protruded end portions of the developing roller shaft are provided with bearings. When the developer cartridge is inserted into the accommodating portion toward the photosensitive drum, the guide grooves support and guide the bearings on the end portions of the developing roller shaft, so that the developer cartridge becomes properly set in the accommodating portion.

  • Patent number: 6041203
Abstract: A process unit detachably attachable to an image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive member cartridge having a photosensitive member, and a developer cartridge having a developing roller that supplies a developer to the photosensitive member. Urging devices are provided on right and left sides of the photosensitive member cartridge to urge a developing roller to the photosensitive member. Action-receiving portions provided on the opposite sides of the developer cartridge receive action performed by the urging devices. Each urging device has a frame-like slide support member pivotably connected to the corresponding side wall inner surface of the photosensitive member cartridge via pivots, and a motion acting portion protruded outwardly from the slide support member beyond the side wall. Guide surfaces are provided on the opposite sides of an image forming apparatus housing.

  • Patent number: 5933688
Abstract: A photosensitive drum 25 is rotated counterclockwise by a predetermined angle upon completion of printing. A release belt 44 is caused to rotate in the same direction by surface friction between a nip release belt 49 and a surface of the photosensitive drum 25. At this time, a pitch roller 47 provided at both ends of a developing roller 27 is rotated clockwise while guided along a roller guide hole 61 of the release belt 44, runs onto an upper plane of the nip release belt 49, and releases the developing roller 27 from the photosensitive drum 25 with a clearance which is substantially equal to the thickness of the nip release belt 49.

  • Patent number: 5704457
Abstract: A driving force from a motor is transmitted through a pinion, a first gear, a second gear, a third gear, a link, a control lever, a control shaft, a parking shaft and a parking lever to a parking pole. A lost motion spring is mounted between the control shaft and the parking lever for biasing the parking pole toward a parking gear. A one-way clutch is mounted between the third gear and a housing. The one-way clutch permits the driving force from the motor to be transmitted to the parking pole and prevents the resilient force of the lost motion spring from being transmitted back to the motor.

  • Patent number: 5592268
Abstract: An image forming unit includes structure to prevent leakage of initial developer containing magnetic carrier and magnetic toner from a case. The image forming unit includes a photoconductive drum, a developing sleeve, and a trimming blade. Auxiliary sealing members are attached to the opposite ends of the trimming blade to stop up gaps between side sealing members in sliding contact with the opposite ends of the developing sleeve, and a protective sheet is removably inserted in the gap between the developing sleeve and the trimming blade. Ferromagnetic strips capable of being magnetized by the magnet roller are attached to the reverse side of the protective sheet at the opposite sides of one end of the protective sheet. The ferromagnetic strips magnetically attract the developer that is about to leak through the gaps to completely prevent leakage of the developer.

  • Patent number: 5502393
Abstract: A densitometer using a microwave comprises a microwave detection section, a phase detection section, and a density calculation section. The microwave detection section picks up a first microwave receiving signal by transmitting and receiving a microwave of a frequency band of 1.4 --GHz-- to 1.75 --GHz-- to/from a reference fluid, and a second microwave receiving signal by transmitting and receiving a microwave of a frequency band of 1.4 --GHz-- to 1.75 --GHz-- to/from a measuring fluid. The phase detection section obtains a phase difference between the first microwave receiving signal and the second microwave receiving signal. The density calculation section calculates the density of measuring fluid based on the phase difference obtained by the phase detection section.
