  • Patent number: 5388053
Abstract: A data processing method for obtaining data indicating the period between pulses comprises measuring the interval between the subject pulses, separately generating time pulses of a prescribed period, measuring the time between the most recent subject pulse and the most recent time pulse, outputting the interval between the subject pulses as the pulse period data if it is longer than the time between the most recent subject pulse and the most recent time pulse and otherwise outputting the latter time as the pulse period data. The data obtained in this way more precisely indicates the actual pulse period in cases where noise pulses occur between subject pulses.

  • Patent number: 5220551
Abstract: A spindle control apparatuses for a disk player allows a quick search of recorded data on a disk carrying a plurality of types of data that should be read out at different reading velocities. A spindle servo loop is rendered open in response to a command and a normal rotational velocity of the disk necessary to read out recorded data at a specific address is computed. Then the disk's rotational velocity is accelerated or decelerated in a single step until it coincides with the designated rotational velocity and the servo loop is closed when these velocities coincide with each other. This allows quick and stable locking of the spindle servo loop during the searching period, so that the searching velocity is raised considerably.

  • Patent number: 5182711
Abstract: A motor control system controls a steering apparatus with an electric motor. A command signal is generated in accordance with a torsion torque of the steering apparatus and the rotational direction and torque of the electric motor is controlled in accordance with the command signal. The system includes a vehicle speed sensor, a hysteresis circuit for changing a hysteresis width in accordance with an output from the vehicle speed sensor, and a phase compensation designating section responsive to an output from the torsion torque sensor supplied via the hysteresis circuit for outputting a command signal corresponding to a change rate of the torsion torque, so that the rotation direction and torque of the electric motor is controlled in accordance with the command signal. The hysteresis circuit makes large the hysteresis width during a high speed running of a vehicle to avoid influence of external disturbance due to vibrations from roads.

  • Patent number: 5180512
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a fine-particle colloid or a magnetic fluid of a metal nitride through reaction between a metal carbonyl and a nitride-bearing compound, a two-step reaction is performed, comprising a first-step reaction of synthesizing a nitrogen-bearing metal carbonyl which is a precursor substance and a second-step reaction of synthesizing metal nitride from said precursor substance. A step of eliminating unreacted metal carbonyl is provided between the two-step reaction. By repeatedly causing the series of reactions, a fine-particle colloid or a magnetic fluid of the metal nitride is manufactured.
