  • Patent number: 9329788
Abstract: In a storage system, a real page is allocated from a pool to a write destination virtual page in a virtual volume. The real page includes multiple real regions. The storage system moves all valid data stored in two or more move-source real pages respectively allocated to two or more virtual pages, to move-destination real pages the number of which is less than the number of move-source real pages in units of real regions. Each piece of valid data can be used by any one of the access sources. The storage system writes the predetermined data to all move-source real regions in each of move-source real pages, so that each of the move-source real pages is set as a recovery target real page which is a real page storing only the predetermined data, and performs real capacity recovery for making each recovery target real page into an unallocated state.

  • Patent number: 9323463
Abstract: A first storage apparatus, on the basis of management information representing data existing in a virtual cache area, when a first data conforming to a read request exists in the virtual cache area, determines whether the first data is stored in a first cache area of the first storage apparatus. The first storage apparatus, when the first data is not stored in the first cache area, acquires the first data from a second cache area of a second storage apparatus, and transmits the first data to a host computer. The first storage apparatus, when the first data is associated with the first cache area on the basis of a degree of importance, notifies the second storage apparatus to that effect, and change an apparatus in charge of a cache of the first data of the management information from the second storage apparatus to the first storage apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20150235427
Abstract: This invention solves the problem that objects in the field of view of reading glasses using multifocal lenses for correcting ocular refractive errors such as presbyopia appear distorted. This image display device is provided with the following: a distance computation unit that computes the distance to a subject in a field-of-view image; a visual-acuity-information acquisition unit that stores visual-acuity information for the user in advance; a corrected-image generation unit that generates and outputs a corrected image on the basis of the field-of-view image and an eye image generated from the field-of-view image, the distance information, and the visual-acuity information; and a display unit that displays the corrected image by superimposing same onto the user's field of view. Since the corrected image is superimposed without the use of lenses, lenses being the cause of the abovementioned distortion, the user can see close objects clearly.
