  • Patent number: 10953316
Abstract: In methods and apparatuses for reducing latency in graphics processing inputs are received and a first set of frames is generated and stored. Once all of the frames in the first set of frames have been produced, they may be delivered to a GPU. Each frame is then rendered by the GPU, a latency increase resulting from storing the first set of frames is less than a decrease in overall latency resulting from avoiding thread stalls due to the GPU running out of frames to process. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Publication number: 20200289948
Abstract: A snapshot of a game may be generated by a client. At some point, a suspension request is delivered to a computer system. Once the suspension request is received, the computer system will suspend the emulated title. The computer system generates a snapshot of the game by recording the current state of all devices being emulated. The snapshot is then delivered to the client. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.

  • Publication number: 20200206625
Abstract: Methods enable creation of a game slice from a game. Plurality of games is provided for presentation on a display device. Each game is identified by an image. Selection activity is detected at the image of one of the games. In response to the selection, game code of the selected game is executed to enable game play of an unlocked game. The selected game is streamed to the display device. User interaction related to the game play is received. A recording of the game play is examined to identify portions of the game for generating a game slice, which are returned in a suggested list for selection. Game slice is generated for a selected portion from the list. A recording of the game play for the game slice is associated as a primary video segment. The game slice and the primary video segment are provided for sharing over a network.

  • Publication number: 20200197802
Abstract: Methods for executing a game via a game cloud system are provided. One method includes providing, on a website, a plurality of mini-games stored via the game cloud system. Each of the plurality of mini-games is created based on a portion of the game. Each of the plurality of mini-games is created when the game was played and state data is captured and associated to the respective mini-game. Each of the plurality of mini-games is defined from a respective portion of the game, and the portion identified by at least part of the state data related to play of the game and game actions taken. The state data is used to enable executable play the mini-game, and each of the plurality of mini-games is sharable via the website.

  • Publication number: 20200129868
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for using and generating a mini-game from a game. One example method includes detecting an instruction to generate the mini-game for the game. The instruction is configured for a starting location for the mini-game from the game. An end location for the mini-game is determined. The mini-game includes an event of the game that occurs between the starting location and the end location of the mini-game. A snapshot is generated for the mini-game to enable play of the mini-game at the starting location. The starting location of the mini-game is selectable to be at a point that is after a start of the game.

  • Patent number: 10363482
Abstract: Methods for managing mini-games created and executed in a game cloud system are provided. One method includes providing a plurality of mini-games stored in the game cloud system. Each mini-game is created based on a video recording of a game play for a game title, and is shared in a social network. The method further includes identifying user interactions for each mini-game and ranking the mini-games based on the identified user interactions associated with each mini-game. Then, some or all of the mini-games are displayed on a game site and/or a social network site in an order that is based on the ranking.

  • Patent number: 10354443
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe a software based emulator of a graphics processing unit (GPU) that is configured to operate over a cloud-based network. A virtual image containing graphics primitives is divided into a plurality of tiles. A load balancer assigns tiles to rasterization threads in order to evenly distribute the processing load. The rasterization threads then rasterize their assigned tiles and deliver rendered pixels to a frame buffer. The frame buffer builds a frame from the rendered pixels and then delivers the frame over the network to a client device platform. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
