  • Publication number: 20210392078
Abstract: In one embodiment, a first networking device sends, to a second networking device, a training frame of a transmitter training signal (TTS) that includes a request for the second networking device to enable a protocol on the second networking device. In addition, the first networking device receives, from the second networking device, an indication that the second networking device has enabled the protocol on the second networking device. The first networking device may also send, using the protocol, first flow-control information indicating a number of data packets sent by the first networking device to the second networking device and a number of acknowledgments received from the second networking device, in addition to receiving second flow-control information indicating a number of data packets received at the second networking device from the first networking device and a number of acknowledgments sent by the second networking device to the first networking device.

  • Patent number: 11176088
Abstract: Aspects described herein may relate to a data processing engine that executes on a computing device in order to store data from one or more feed files, which may be heterogeneous, to a destination data structure on a designated computing device. Because the files may be huge in size, it is important that the files be stored in a manner in order to reduce the time to move the data and to support an efficient mechanism for recovering from errors. A feed file may be dynamically partitioned into groups of contiguous rows based on a dynamic partitioning key, where data chunks are loaded into a plurality of clone tables and subsequently moved into a destination data structure. The data processing engine may determine a row size for the clone files and request for resources from a computing cloud to obtain those resources.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for improving story assembly and video summarization. For example, video clips may be received and a theme may be determined from the received video clips based on annotation data or other characteristics of the received video data. Individual moments may be extracted from the video clips, based on the selected theme and the annotation data. The moments may be ranked based on a priority metric corresponding to content determined to be desirable for purposes of video summarization. Select moments may be chosen based on the priority metric and a structure may be determined based on the selected theme. Finally, a video summarization may be generated using the selected theme and the structure, the video summarization including the select moments.

  • Publication number: 20210209019
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed that efficiently supports an append operation in an object storage system. A size of data received with a request for an append operation from an application is determined based on a data-alignment characteristic of a storage medium. Data that is not aligned with the data-alignment characteristic is stored in persistent memory and aggregated with other data from the application that is not aligned with the data-alignment characteristic, while data that is aligned with the data-alignment characteristic is stored directly in the storage medium. Aggregated data that becomes aligned with the data-alignment characteristic as additional requests for append operations are received are migrated to the storage medium.
