  • Publication number: 20200236027
Abstract: Probe and secure the vulnerable network services using a centralized controller, according to one embodiment. A list of services hosted by a resource is received at a controller. Request by the controller, to probe the list of services received by the controller. The probing is triggered by the controller based on a user scheduled time. The list of services executing on another resource is probed by the resource. The probing includes sending a probe packet that contains a special marker. A probe candidate is determined by the controller. Send the list of resources to be probed for a set of port and protocol to the probe candidate. A probe result generated as a result of the probing is received at the controller. The probe result includes vulnerable service information. A policy is computed based on the probe result to enforce on the resource.

  • Publication number: 20200210337
Abstract: A system and a method provide a memory-access technique that effectively parallelizes DRAM operations and coherency operations to reduce memory-access latency. The system may include a memory controller, an interconnect and a processor. The interconnect may be coupled to the memory controller. The processor may be coupled to the memory controller through a first path and a second path in which the first path is through the interconnect and the second path bypasses the interconnect. The processor may be configured to send substantially concurrently a memory access request to the memory controller via the first path and send a page activation request or a hint request to the memory controller via the second path so that the DRAM access operations appear to be masked, or hidden by the coherency operations.

  • Patent number: 10650290
Abstract: Sketch completion using machine learning in a digital medium environment is described. Initially, a user sketches a digital image, e.g., using a stylus in a digital sketch application. A model trained using machine learning is leveraged to identify and describe visual characteristics of the user sketch. The visual characteristics describing the user sketch are compared to clusters of data generated by the model and that describe visual characteristics of a set of digital sketch images. Based on the comparison, digital sketch images having visual characteristics similar to the user sketch are identified from similar clusters. The similar images are returned for presentation as selectable suggestions for sketch completion of the sketched object.

Abstract: According to one general aspect, an apparatus may include a processor coupled with a memory controller via a first path and a second path. The first path may traverse a coherent interconnect that couples the memory controller with a plurality of processors, including the processor. The second path may bypass the coherent interconnect and has a lower latency than the first path. The processor may be configured to send a memory access request to the memory controller and wherein the memory access request includes a path request to employ either the first path or the second path. The apparatus may include the memory controller configured to fulfill the memory access request and, based at least in part upon the path request, send at least part of the results of the memory access to the processor via either the first path or the second path.

  • Patent number: 10447815
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments provide a system for propagating network configuration policies using a publish-subscribe messaging system. During operation, the system receives, through the publish-subscribe messaging system, one or more messages containing a first representation of a configuration policy from a policy server. Next, the system uses a data model to convert the first representation into a second representation of the configuration policy. The system then uses the second representation to apply the configuration policy during processing of network traffic.

  • Patent number: 10430346
Abstract: A method of accessing a persistent memory over a memory interface is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes allocating a virtual address range comprising virtual memory pages to be associated with physical pages of a memory buffer and marking each page table entry associated with the virtual address range as not having a corresponding one of the physical pages of the memory buffer. The method further includes generating a page fault when one or more of the virtual memory pages within the virtual address range is accessed and mapping page table entries of the virtual memory pages to the physical pages of the memory buffer. The method further includes transferring data between a physical page of the persistent memory and one of the physical pages of the memory buffer mapped to a corresponding one of the virtual memory pages.
