An ink supply system supplies ink to the printhead so that a hydrostatic pressure of ink can be varied. Increasing the hydrostatic ink pressure increases a volume of the ejected ink droplets, and decreasing the hydrostatic ink pressure decreases a volume of the ejected ink droplets.
