  • Patent number: 9244707
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to dynamically transforming user interface actions into executable script commands and to storing groups of executable script commands related to specific tasks. In an embodiment, a computer system tracks user interface actions at a software program user interface. The computer system transforms the user interface actions into an executable script command. The script command is configured to perform the tracked user interface action when executed. The computer system also dynamically displays the resulting executable script commands in a script command window as the user interface actions are entered by the computer user. The computer system may further determine that multiple user interface actions correspond to a specified task and store the resulting executable script commands related to the specified task as a combined group of executable script commands.

  • Publication number: 20150276621
Abstract: Inspection of microelectronic devices is described using near infrared light. In one example, a dielectric material layer on a substrate is illuminated with a near infrared light beam. The substrate has at least one contact land, the dielectric material layer overlies at least a portion of the contact land, and the substrate has at least one via defined in the dielectric material layer, the via exposing at least a portion of the contact land. Reflected near infrared light is reflected from the substrate at a camera. The position of the via is determined relative to the contact land from the reflected light beam using an image processing device.

  • Publication number: 20150046495
Abstract: A Common Information Model (CIM) agent is registered to a management agent in a computing environment by a processor device. The management agent is discovered by the CIM agent in a management domain in response to an insertion of the CIM agent into the management domain. At least one of information of the CIM agent and the discovered management agent is registered by the CIM agent. The management agent is compliant with the CIM agent. The management agent is determined by matching a management object scope, or safety strategy in a predefined strategy of the discovered management agent with a management object, or safety strategy of the CIM agent.

  • Patent number: 8924495
Abstract: An exemplary method is implemented by end-user communication devices for processing the receipt of an HTTP message wherein a received HTTP message comprises a digital packet having a header and a user data segment. The user data segment contains a user message and an acknowledgement command where the acknowledgement command conveys a request from an originating device to acknowledge receipt of the subject HTTP message. The received user message is prevented from being displayed on a screen of the first end-user communication device of content until input is entered authorizing a reply to the acknowledgement request. Upon receiving the authorization: a reply HTTP message with an acknowledgement is automatically generated by the first end-user communication device and transmitted to the originating device; the content of the message is displayed.

  • Patent number: 8799385
Abstract: An exemplary method is implemented by end-user communication devices for transmitting and receiving emails in which acknowledgement of receipt by an addressee of an email is requested by an originator of the email. The email includes a digital packet having a header segment and a user data segment, the user data segment containing a user message and a command portion. An acknowledgement request command is stored in the command portion of an email. Upon receipt of the email by the addressee device and authorization to send an acknowledgement by the user, a reply email with an acknowledgement request is transmitted to the originator. Viewing of the content of the received email by the addressee is prohibited until the authorization is given. Accounting for acknowledgement receipts from multiple addressees is managed by the originator's device.

  • Patent number: 8721847
Abstract: A control system and method for controlling two motors determining the azimuthal and circumferential position of a magnetron rotating about the central axis of the sputter chamber in back of its target sputtering and capable of a nearly arbitrary scan path, e.g., with a planetary gear mechanism. A system controller periodically sends commands to the motion controller which closely controls the motors. Each command includes a command ticket, which may be one of several values. The motion controller accepts only commands having a command ticket of a different value from the immediately preceding command. One command selects a scan profile stored in the motion controller, which calculates motor signals from the selected profile. Another command instructs a dynamic homing command which interrogates sensors of the position of two rotating arms to determine if the arms in the expected positions. If not, the arms are rehomed.

  • Patent number: 8696459
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for the measurement and input of position information and/or information regarding the position and/or movement and/or speed of a target of interest, e.g., without requiring a hand-held controller. According to further aspects of the present invention, systems and methods are provided for removing background images, such as furniture and other items, shadows, etc., in the environment of an associated camera or cameras. The elimination of background images behind the subject reduces processing requirements to track the movements of a participant, and may avoid the potential of the image processing logic to confuse the background with the image of the subject. Parabolic LEDs are also provided, which provide safe illumination and gating. As an alternative to gating, a grating or grid light source may be utilized. Still further, a participant's image may be integrated into video applications including games.

  • Publication number: 20140068221
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for thin provisioning. An original time-domain sequence of a load parameter of storage resources already allocated to an application program is collected. A future load peak time period of the storage resources already allocated to the application program is determined based on the collected original time-domain sequence of the load parameter. A new storage resource unit from a high-speed storage is allocated in response to receipt of a request to allocate the new storage resource unit to the application program in the future load peak time period. On an occasion of thin provisioning, whether the physical storage resources newly allocated to the application program are located in a low-speed storage or a high-speed storage is determined according to the accesses of the application program to the already-allocated physical storage resources.

  • Patent number: 8295316
Abstract: A laser light source experiencing an EOL condition, which might otherwise cause an unscheduled shutdown, is instead operated in a diminished capacity in one or more predetermined or calculated increments. Operating in such diminished capacity continues until the laser system can undergo appropriate maintenance either during a regularly scheduled shutdown or a newly scheduled shutdown. In the meantime, the diminished capacity of the laser system is accommodated by the utilization tool, as appropriate.

  • Patent number: 8282485
Abstract: A device is provided for capturing images of targets of interest for interaction with or in response to electronic events, such as may be generated by video games and/or other interactive applications. The device includes a shadowless light source, such as one or more light emitting devices that are capable of emitting light into an environment where the emitted light is in at least a first predetermined frequency range that defines a spectral range outside the range of the fluctuating ambient light. A camera has a light receiving lens and an image sensor for converting the light received through the light receiving lens into image data that is obtained by a processor to form a digital representation of the target of interest. Also, the device may include a filter to substantially block light in an anticipated spectral range of fluctuating ambient light.
