  • Patent number: 11690067
Abstract: At times a UE may have a data transmission that needs to extend beyond a resource grant in an ULRB portion of a slot. The UE may receive resource region reservation information from a base station and determine when to extend an UL transmission from the ULRB portion of a slot into the ULCB portion of the slot based resource region reservation information. The resource region reservation information may indicate ULCB resources which are reserved for PUCCH, PRACH, PUSCH, SRS, or other transmissions. The UE may determine to refrain from extending the data transmission into the ULCB when at least a portion of the data transmission would overlap reserved resources as indicated by the resource region reservation information.

  • Patent number: 11689319
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a message indicating, for each or multiple partial bands, a set of possible channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) configurations. The UE may further receive downlink control information (DCI) from a base station, which may indicate a set of downlink resource associated with a first partial band. The UE may select a first CSI-RS configuration from the set of possible CSI-RS configurations for the first partial band based on the DCI, and when the base station transmits CSI-RS, the UE may obtain CSI-RS measurements over the first partial band during the set of downlink resources using the selected first CSI-RS configuration.

  • Publication number: 20230199672
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to satisfy an uplink transmission power criterion, such as a specific absorption rate (SAR). The UE may be scheduled to transmit a first uplink message via a first frequency band and a second uplink message via a second frequency band. The UE perform power scaling on the first frequency band and the second frequency band to satisfy the uplink transmission power criterion. For example, the UE may select a first transmission power level for transmitting the first uplink message and a second transmission power level for transmitting the second uplink message based on a function of UE transmission power level over a preceding time interval. The UE may perform uplink power aggregation techniques to temporarily boost transmit power while satisfying the uplink transmission power criterion.

  • Publication number: 20230198593
Abstract: Methods related to wireless communication systems and scheduling channel state information operations and transmissions. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS), a channel state information (CSI) computation request. The UE then identifies a first CSI measurement resource based on the CSI computation request. The UE determines CSI based on the first CSI measurement resource, and receives, from the BS, a CSI report transmission request associated with the first CSI measurement resource. The UE optionally transmits to the BS a CSI report based on the first CSI measurement resource or a different CSI measurement resource. Other features are also claimed and described.

  • Publication number: 20230199792
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetition based on support signaling, such as an uplink grant that includes a time domain resource assignment for transmitting one or more data repetitions that may cross a slot boundary. The UE may identify directions (for example, uplink, downlink, flexible) for one or more symbols spanning a transmission duration of the time domain resource assignment. The directions may be determined using a dynamic slot format indication (SFI), or semi-static SFIs may be used as a fallback (when dynamic slot format indications do not meet a target reliability). The uplink grant may include an indication of which symbol directions can be used for the one or more data repetitions. A subset of the one or more symbols for scheduling the one or more data repetitions may be determined based on the identified directions.

  • Publication number: 20230199782
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a downlink control information (DCI) message associated with scheduling transmissions for the UE on a plurality of component carriers. The UE may determine, for at least a first component carrier of the plurality of component carriers, that a frequency resource allocation field of the DCI message comprises an indication of a value that is invalid for frequency resource allocation on the first component carrier. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the invalid indication and using a subset of fields of the DCI message corresponding to the first component carrier, that one or more component carriers of the plurality of component carriers are dormant.

  • Patent number: 11683793
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) that is configured with two sets of power control parameters may be signaled (e.g., via downlink control information (DCI)) as to which set of parameters to use for determining the transmission power on a sidelink channel. The UE may determine a transmit power for a sidelink message based on the indication included in the DCI. The base station may transmit the indication based on whether uplink or downlink communications are scheduled on resources that may overlap with resources used for transmission of the sidelink message.

  • Patent number: 11683147
Abstract: A scheduling entity receives, from a half-duplex frequency division duplex (HD-FDD) UE, an initial attach request on a first uplink carrier of a primary cell. It enters into an RRC connected state with the HD-FDD UE and determines an amount of data waiting for uplink in a buffer of the HD-FDD UE. It determines a target uplink carrier and a grant of time for the HD-FDD UE to upload the buffered data. It then transmits downlink control information (DCI) allocating the target uplink carrier for the determined time to the HD-FDD UE. The HD-FDD UE communicates with the scheduling entity via the first uplink carrier, receives the DCI, and switches from the first uplink carrier to the target uplink carrier. It then transmits, over the target uplink carrier, the buffered data to the scheduling entity for the determined time.

  • Patent number: 11683790
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing allocations and signaling for different types of communications within a wireless communication system. An eNB and/or a UE may be configured to operate within the wireless communication system using two or more different types of communications. The different types of communications may differ, for example, based on round trip time (RTT) between transmission and acknowledgment of receipt of the transmission, a transmission time interval (TTI) for wireless transmissions, and/or duty cycle timing of wireless transmissions. Reserved resources within a system bandwidth may be identified for a first type of communications, and all or a portion of remaining resources within the system bandwidth may be allocated for other communications that may differ from the first type of communications based on, for example, RTT, TTI, and/or duty cycle timing.
