  • Patent number: 12185335
Abstract: Different sets of downlink control information (DCI) fields may be configured for DCI that includes an indication to trigger bandwidth part switching at a user equipment (UE). For example, a UE may receive DCI that triggers the UE to switch operation from a first bandwidth part to a second bandwidth part. The UE may also identify a set of transformable DCI fields and a set of non-transformable DCI fields within the DCI. The UE may then determine updated content of the DCI for application to the second bandwidth part based on whether DCI fields are included in the set of transformable or the set of non-transformable fields. In some cases, the UE may identify a null assignment in the received DCI and may switch its operation from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part based on the null assignment.

  • Publication number: 20240430918
Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, a UE configures a first distribution of a set of radio capabilities over a plurality of operational scenarios, and transmits, to a network entity, a signal including at least one portion of the first distribution to indicate to the network entity to configure a scheduling configuration based on the at least one portion of the first distribution. The UE further communicates, based on the first distribution of the set of radio capabilities and the scheduling configuration, with the network. The method enables the UE to actively participate in resource allocation decisions, resulting in enhanced communication performance and optimized resource utilization.

  • Patent number: 12177852
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may map a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) sequence to a first symbol in a set of resource blocks (RBs) of an uplink long burst, and the first symbol may occur at the beginning of the uplink long burst. The DMRS sequence may be “front-loaded” in the uplink long burst. The DMRS sequence may be dependent upon RB locations. When the DMRS sequence is mapped to the beginning of an uplink long burst, uplink control information (UCI) may be mapped in a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). A UE may map UCI in a PUSCH after the DMRS sequence is mapped to the beginning of the uplink long burst. When the base station receives an uplink long burst including the front-loaded DMRS and the UCI mapped in the PUSCH, the base station may identify the DMRS for channel estimation/interference cancelation of the UCI carried on the PUSCH.

  • Patent number: 12176976
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for enabling a network equipment to reduce interference for downlink (DL) transmissions to a first device by determining a transmit precoding matrix indicator (TPMI) for uplink (UL) transmissions transmitted by a second device based on feedback from the first device. The first device may determine a subset of possible TPMIs that the second device may use for UL transmissions for full-duplex communications. The first device may indicate the subset to the network equipment. Based on the subset indicated by the first device, the network equipment may determine a pairing of the first device and the second device for full-duplex communications. Additionally, the network equipment may determine a TPMI for the second device to use in UL transmissions and indicate the TPMI to the second device.

  • Patent number: 12167468
Abstract: User equipments (UEs) with reduced capabilities may need a relaxed processing timeline relative to standard UEs. The relaxed processing timeline may provide UEs with reduced capabilities an appropriate amount of time (e.g., during a random access procedure) to decode messages from a base station (BS) and/or to prepare uplink messages. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a UE configured to transmit a message to a serving BS, the message including a request for timeline relaxation for transmission of a subsequent message, the message and the subsequent message being associated with a random access procedure. The UE may receive a response message associated with the random access procedure and indicating one or more timing offsets corresponding to the timeline relaxation. The UE may transmit the subsequent message to the serving BS based on the one or more timing offsets indicated by the serving BS. The subsequent message acknowledges the response message.
