  • Patent number: 12149482
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may transmit feedback, such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for groups of code blocks rather than for an entire transport block or individual code blocks. The wireless device may transmit an acknowledgement (ACK) or negative-acknowledgement (NACK) to provide feedback for each code block group of a set of code block groups. An ACK may indicate that code blocks in a code block group were successfully decoded, and a NACK may indicate that at least one code block in a code block group was not successfully decoded. Wireless devices may support several techniques for grouping code blocks for feedback reporting to allow for efficient retransmissions and limited overhead. Different grouping schemes may be employed depending on system constraints, device capability, link conditions, or the like.

  • Publication number: 20240380461
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a control message indicating a channel state information (CSI) reporting configuration for a subband full-duplex (SBFD) slot. The CSI reporting configuration may indicate that the UE is to report CSI for entire bandwidths of respective downlink subbands of the SBFD slot. That is, the CSI reporting configuration may configure the UE for per-downlink subband CSI reporting. The UE may receive CSI reference signals via the downlink subbands, and measure CSI for the reference signals. The UE may transmit, according to the CSI reporting configuration, a CSI report indicating the CSI for the downlink subbands. In some examples, the CSI may include some combination of channel quality indicators (CQIs) and precoding matrix indicators (PMIs).

  • Patent number: 12137476
Abstract: A low complexity user equipment (UE) may be in communication with another UE (e.g., with a premium UE or more capable UE) via a device-to-device communication link (e.g., via sidelink), and the low complexity UE may leverage the device-to-device link to improve (e.g., simplify, expedite, etc.) random access procedures performed by the low complexity UE. For example, a low complexity UE may request contention free random access (CFRA) resources via the device-to-device link with another UE. Another device (e.g., another UE in device-to-device communication with the low complexity UE) may receive the request from the low complexity UE and forward the request to the network (e.g., to a base station). The network may then configure CFRA resources for the low complexity UE. Upon receiving the CFRA configuration, the low complexity UE may perform a random access procedure (e.g., a CFRA procedure) with the network (e.g., with the base station) accordingly.

  • Patent number: 12133228
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for reporting a first and second stage of feedback for multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) to reduce latency and improve reliability. The first stage of feedback may include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for all PDSCHs or each PDSCH, and the second stage of feedback may include channel state information (CSI) feedback for all PDSCHs or each PDSCH. A user equipment (UE) may transmit the first and second stages of feedback in a single physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or multiple PUCCHs (e.g., a PUCCH corresponding to each PDSCH). In some cases, the UE may report the HARQ and CSI feedback based on whether the PDSCHs include the same or different transport blocks or whether the PDSCHs are transmitted with the same or different transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states.
