  • Publication number: 20140014420
Abstract: A power supply device includes battery cells, separators, and fastening members. The plurality of battery cells have a rectangular-box exterior shape. The separators are interposed between the battery cells, which are arranged side by side. The fastening members securely hold a battery assembly of the battery cells and the separators, which are alternately arranged side by side. The surfaces of each of the battery cells is covered by an electrically insulating covering member. Each of the separators has recessed parts that form a plurality of gas-flowing paths between the battery cells so that cooling gas can flow along surfaces of these battery cells when this separator is interposed between these battery cells. Edge parts of the recessed part, which forms the gas-flowing paths, are rounded.

  • Publication number: 20130254765
Abstract: In a computer system composed of a computer in which a plurality of VMs (Virtual Machines) are operated and a storage system, when a patch of an OS in the VM is applied, update data ac companying the application of the patch is stored in each VM image, causing increase of load of the storage system accompanying the concentration of read requests and the elongation of the patch applying process time. Therefore, the present invention provides a high-speed patch applying method to the VMs. When a patch applying request from a user using the VM is received and a patch is applied to the first VM, the patch is applied after creating a replication of the original GI (Golden Image) by which a new GI is created, and the new GI is used when the patch is applied to the second and subsequent VMs. During a patch applying process of the VM, a VM image is created from a new GI, and a path information related to the VM image is changed to thereby execute the patch applying process.

  • Patent number: 8364925
Abstract: This storage system modifies the migration plan in accordance with the state of the migration destination when a plurality of volumes are migrated all at once. Migration-source volumes are migrated collectively to volumes inside the migration-destination storage apparatus. The user can make settings related to migration-source volumes and migration-destination volumes in a migration plan, and can establish a mid-process control plan for modifying the migration plan in the middle of processing. If a failure occurs in the migration-destination storage apparatus subsequent to the commencement of data migration processing, a processing method controller either cancels or temporarily halts the data migration processing, or changes the migration destination, on the basis of the mid-process control plan. When changing the migration destination, a previously selected alternate storage apparatus is selected as the new migration-destination storage apparatus.
