    Abstract: A dual-purpose tire inlet valve connector has a housing, a plunger mounted in a plunger chamber in the housing, multiple steel balls mounted around a periphery of the plunger, a push post and a compression spring mounted inside the plunger, multiple plunger springs mounted between the plunger and the housing, a pressing lever mounted on a top of the housing to abut against a top end of the plunger, and a sealing collar mounted on a bottom of the plunger chamber. The steel balls can be driven by the motion of the plunger and the springs activated by the pressing lever to hold the push post or release the push post for the plunger to abut against and position an American or French tire inlet valve inserted in the dual-purpose tire inlet valve connector to fulfill a universal and fast connection therewith and a smooth air-charging job.

The illumination assembly is mounted in the tube towards the front cover. The cell base is mounted in the tube behind the electrical aeration pump. The cell base has at least one cell. The switch assembly is mounted in the tube and electrically connects to the cell base, the electrical aeration pump and the illumination assembly.

The groove is defined in an outer surface of the seat. The retaining surface is adjacent to the groove. The sealing valve movably engages the seat of the connecting rod and has an engaging ring and a sealing part. The engaging ring has an inwall which extends into the groove and has an engaging surface facing the retaining surface. The sealing part is connected with the inwall of the engaging ring and sealingly covers the through hole. The sealing valve is not prone to deformation and warpage during the operation of the piston to prevent any operating noise problem.

    Abstract: An air pump has a frame, a pedal pivotally mounted on the frame, and a pedal securing device rotatably mounted on the frame to selectively fix the pedal on the frame. The pedal securing device has two knobs and an eccentric shaft. The knobs respectively have a pivot portion and an operational portion mounted on an outer surface of the pivot portion. The eccentric shaft is connected with the knobs and has an eccentric part driven by the operational portion of one of the knobs. A user can turn one of the knobs by foot to drive the eccentric shaft to rotate, and then the eccentric part can selectively engage or disengage a hook of the pedal. Accordingly, the pedal securing device is easy to operate by foot and prevents a hand of the user from being contaminated.

    Abstract: A fastening device for combining a pressure gauge on an air pump has a connector, a three-way pipe, a screw and multiple fixers. The connector has a first fool-proof plane and a locating hole. The three-way pipe is mounted on the connector and has a second fool-proof plane facing the first fool-proof plane, a threaded hole being aligned with the locating hole, and multiple retaining holes. The screw is screwed through the threaded hole and a distal end of the screw is inserted into the locating hole to fix the three-way pipe on the connector. The fixers are respectively mounted through the retaining holes and are adapted to fix the pressure gauge on the three-way pipe. Accordingly, the fastening device prevents the pressure gauge from being deflective in its combination position and is easy to assemble and has a low labor cost.

    Abstract: An air pump cylinder has a mounting bracket, a housing, a cover and an O-ring. The mounting bracket is made of metal and includes a rear wall and opposite sidewalls. The rear wall has a rear projection extending therefrom. Each sidewall has a side projection extending therefrom. The housing is made of metal and is clamped between the sidewalls of the mounting bracket. The cover is hermetically attached to the housing and includes a cap. The cap has a plurality of upper projections extending from an annular sidewall thereof and secured to the projections of the mounting bracket by bolts. The O-ring is compressed between the cover and the housing. Therefore, the structure of the air pump cylinder is simplified and manufacturing time and cost are reduced. Besides, the housing can be firmly held in the mounting bracket, thereby providing improved assembly stability.

    Abstract: An air pump cylinder has a housing, a cover and an O-ring. The housing includes a connecting tube. The connecting tube has a plurality of projections extending therefrom. The cover is hermetically engaged with the connecting tube of the housing and includes a cap. The cap has an annular sidewall and a plurality of grooves. The grooves are formed in the annular sidewall and each groove has an axial portion and a locking portion. The projections of the connecting tube of the housing are disposed into the axial portions of the grooves and the cover is then rotated to make the projections engage the locking portions of grooves and to make the O-ring tightly clamped between the connecting tube of the housing and the cap of the cover. Therefore, the air pump cylinder can be easily assembled and manufactured without the use of bolts.

The measuring assembly is mounted in the chamber and has a tab mount passing through the side opening. The tab mount has a fixing hole. The dial is disposed on the base, covers the measuring assembly and has a tab and a fastening hole. The tab extends through the side opening of the base. The fastening hole is formed through the tab and aligns with the fixing hole of the tab mount. The fastener is mounted through the fixing hole and the fastening hole and thus fixes the dial without being revealed. Therefore aesthetic appearance of the pressure gauge is improved.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing image acquisition and/or image display in a limited region of interest (ROI). The apparatus comprises a micro electro-mechanical system (MEMS), preferably integrating a light source, a cantilever, a lens, an actuator, a light detector, and a position sensor. The light source provides light for illuminating the ROI, displaying an image, providing a therapy, and/or performing other functions. The cantilever comprises a resin waveguide with a fixed end attached to a substrate that supports many or all other components. A free end of the cantilever is released from the substrate during fabrication and includes the lens. The actuator scans the free end in orthogonal directions to illuminate the ROI or display an image. The position sensors detect the position of the free end for control. The light detector receives light backscattered from the ROI separate from, or at the fixed end the cantilever.
