  • Publication number: 20080043543
Abstract: A method of manufacturing, programming and reading a non-volatile memory is provided. First, a to-be-coded memory having a plurality of to-be-coded cells arranged in a array is provided. Next, an implanting resist layer is formed on the to-be-coded memory. Then, a mask is disposed on the to-be-coded memory, wherein the number of the partial to-be-coded cells under the openings of the mask is less than the number of remaining to-be-coded cells. Afterwards, a patterned implanting resist layer is formed according to the mask. Next, the exposed to-be-coded cells are ion-implanted to define a plurality of first cells and second cells, wherein each first cell and each second cell record a second bit state and a first bit state respectively. Then, the to-be-coded memory is inversely defined, such that the first cells and the second cells record the first bit state and the second bit state respectively.

  • Publication number: 20070244918
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for returning a repository to a prior state. The repository may be, for example a database, and the prior state may be, for example the consistent state that the database had at a particular point in time in the past. When a operator-caused error has been introduced to the database by changes made by an already-committed transaction, the techniques described herein may be used to recover from the error by returning the database to a point in time prior to the commit time of the transaction that introduced the error. The techniques involve the generation of “physical undo” information, and the use of the physical undo information in conjunction with physiological undo and physiological redo to efficiently return a repository to the prior state.

  • Publication number: 20070168737
Abstract: The present invention discloses a debugging device using an LPC interface and capable of recovering the BIOS functions and a debugging method therefor. The debugging device comprises a firmware hub, an LPC interface, a decoder, and a display unit. The LPC interface electrically connects to the decoder, the firmware hub, and a computer system. The decoder receives a POST code of the computer system to monitor a startup state of the computer system through the LPC interface, and then decodes and provides the decoded POST code to the display unit for showing every startup step of the computer system. When the original BIOS of the computer system is damaged, the firmware hub provides a backup BIOS for the computer system to start up, and recovers the original damaged BIOS. The present invention improves the stability of the computer system, and saves the cost and time of recovering the BIOS.

  • Patent number: 7246281
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for maintaining data integrity. According to the method, a physical checksum calculation is performed on a block of data. After performing the physical checksum calculation, a logical check is performed on the data contained with the block of data. If the block of data passes the logical check, then the block of data may be written to nonvolatile memory. Thereafter, when the block of data is read from nonvolatile memory a physical checksum verification procedure is performed on the block of data to determine whether the block of data was corrupted after performing the logical check on the data contained with the block of data.

  • Publication number: 20070146025
Abstract: A pulse-width control loop (PWCL) for clock with any pulse-width ratio within a wide range is provided. A differential programmable charge pump is employed to stabilize the current source by complementary connection. The differential programmable charge pump has a pair of differential charge pumps and a current source module to adjust the ratio of charge to discharge, so as to accelerate the range of the adjustable pulse-width ratio of the output clock and increase the output resolution. Further, a ratioless input control stage is employed to simplify the circuit design and avoid static power consumption. Moreover, the control stage adjusts rising pulse width and dropping pulse width at one period, thereby accelerating the lock speed and the range of the adjustable pulse-width ratio (i.e., duty cycle) of the input clock.
