  • Publication number: 20060027660
Abstract: A color barcode can record much more amount of information than black white barcode. However, the problem of the color barcode is that it is easy to lose integrity or authenticity in printing and copy generation. This invention provides an apparatus and a method to keep the integrity or authenticity of the color barcode. Such is accomplished by the color reference portion of the color barcode including reference color tiles filled with colors which are used in a data portion of the color barcode and an apparatus and a method for producing, reproducing and reading such color barcode.

  • Publication number: 20050287357
Abstract: A light diffusion sheet with high surface hardness and method of manufacturing the same is used in the backlight of liquid crystal display and is made by multi-player plastic co-extrusion technology, which can produce light diffusion sheet structure of a plurality layers. The structure is to propose at least a high surface hardness layer on the light diffusion sheet as producing backlight module with direct light of liquid crystal display so as to achieve the resistance to scratch. Therefore, it can prevent from the scratch caused by the hardness stuffs such as fingers, dust, module frame, and so on in the assembling, delivery, or packing processes, and further facilitate the mass production, reduce the manufacturing cost, and increase the yield ratio of assembling significantly.

  • Patent number: 6972606
Abstract: A delay circuit and related apparatus for providing a longer delay time, such that when a level of an input signal changes, a level of an output signal changes accordingly after the predetermined delay time. The delay circuit has a storage unit, a current generator, a voltage generator for providing a reference voltage, a differential amplifier, and a feedback control module. The current generator starts to provide a charging current to the storage unit when the input signal changes level, such that an output charging voltage of the storages unit is gradually charged to reach the reference voltage. The feedback control module is capable of dynamically decreasing the charging current provided to the storage unit as the charging voltage is approaching the reference voltage, and the amplifier will change the level of the output voltage when the charging voltage reaches the reference voltage.

  • Publication number: 20050184227
Abstract: In a test method, an end of a testing optical fiber is first coupled to a light transmitting/receiving structure. The testing optical fiber and the light transmitting/receiving structure are then fixed, and the testing optical fiber is passed through the opening of a defining structure. Next, the testing optical fiber is moved within a testing zone defined by the opening, and variations of the strength of an optical signal transmitted in the testing optical fiber are measured. Finally, the quality of the light transmitting/receiving structure is judged according to the variations. The test apparatus includes the securing structure, the defining structure, and a testing structure.

  • Patent number: 6928607
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for maintaining data integrity. According to the method, a physical checksum calculation is performed on a block of data. After performing the physical checksum calculation, a logical check is performed on the data contained with the block of data. If the block of data passes the logical check, then the block of data may be written to nonvolatile memory. Thereafter, when the block of data is read from nonvolatile memory a physical checksum verification procedure is performed on the block of data to determine whether the block of data was corrupted after performing the logical check on the data contained with the block of data.

  • Patent number: 6887627
Abstract: A method of fabricating a phase shift mask (PSM) is described. A patterned photoresist layer is formed on an opaque layer over a transparent plate. A thin mask layer is formed on the sidewalls of the patterned photoresist layer. The exposed opaque layer and transparent plate thereunder are then removed while using the patterned photoresist layer and mask layer as a mask. A phase shift opening is formed in the transparent plate, and thereby a phase shift layer is formed at the place where the phase shift opening is located. The patterned photoresist layer and the opaque layer thereunder are then removed to expose the transparent plate. The opaque layer under the mask layer can precisely self-align the phase shift layer to prevent alignment deviation caused by multiple lithography processes. The precision of the phase shift mask can be increased, and mask manufacture cost can be lowered.

  • Publication number: 20050087476
Abstract: A workpiece holder is provided inside a clean container such that when covering a housing of the clean container on a base of the clean container, the vertical slide of the workpiece holder is stopped at the base, and a locating member is continuously lowered with the housing, thereby causing the vertical slide to slide upwardly along the locating member and to turn a link, and then causing a holder member to be driven by the link to force a thrust face against workpieces, and therefore the workpieces are pushed into position in a cassette on the base. Because the vertical slide does not displace relative to the base when covering the housing on the base, neither friction nor particles are produced, and workpieces are well protected against contamination.

  • Publication number: 20050047920
Abstract: A fan shaft structure includes an annular groove portion, an end head adjacent to the groove portion, and several teeth equally spaced around the surface of the shaft. The annular groove portion, end head and teeth constitute an insert part of the fan shaft, around which the plastic fan blade is molded by insert molding. The present invention enables the center part of the fan blade to enwrap the insert part of the shaft, and firmly engage with the shaft. It is, therefore, not only able to enhance the robustness of the combination but also successful in preserving the adhesion effect between the shaft and the fan blade.
