When a transaction is not supposed to see an update to a materialized view that occurs within the transaction, additional information associated with the materialized view may indicate this. When a query of the materialized view is made within the transaction, the query engine may use the additional information to exclude data from the update in the result.

    Abstract: A voice quality evaluation method, apparatus, and system comprises an obtained voice data packet is parsed, and a frame content characteristic of the data packet is determined according to a parse result, for example, the frame content characteristic is a silence frame and a voice frame. Then, a voice sequence is divided into statements according to the determined frame content characteristic, and the statements are divided into multiple frame loss events; after non-voice parameters are extracted according to the frame loss events, voice quality of each statement is evaluated according to a preset voice quality evaluation model and according to the non-voice parameters. Finally, voice quality of the entire voice sequence is evaluated according to the voice quality of each statement. By using this solution, prediction precision can be improved significantly, and accuracy of an evaluation result can be improved.

An admission control mechanism may manage requests based on tokens, each of which represents a fixed amount of work. If at least a pre-determined minimum number of tokens is present in the bucket when a service request is received, it may be serviced. Servicing a request may include deducting an initial number of tokens from the bucket, determining that the amount of work performed in servicing the request is different than that represented by the initially deducted tokens, and deducting additional tokens from or replacing tokens in the bucket to reflect the difference.

The service (or underlying system) may provide mechanisms for generating skew-related metrics or reports and presenting them to clients via a graphical user interface (GUI). The metrics and reports may indicate the amount of uniformity or skew in the distribution of requests across the key space for the table using histograms, heat maps, or other representations. Clients may initiate actions to correct any skewing via the GUI.

The service may maintain table data in multiple replicas of partitions of the data that are stored on respective computing nodes in the system. In response to detecting a failure or fault condition, or receiving a service request from a client to move or copy a partition replica, the data store may copy a partition replica to another computing node using a physical copy mechanism. The physical copy mechanism may copy table data from physical storage locations in which it is stored to physical storage locations allocated to a destination replica on the other computing node. During copying, service requests to modify table data may be logged and applied to the replica being copied. A catch-up operation may be performed to apply modification requests received during copying to the destination replica.
