Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel disposed between a first polarizer and a second polarizer and having at least one first area and at least one second area. A first light-transmission axis direction of the first polarizer is substantially perpendicular to a second light-transmission axis direction of the second polarizer. The first light-transmission axis direction intersects a horizontal axis direction by about 45 degrees. When the display panel is in a narrow viewing angle display mode, the first and second areas have different brightness in a side viewing angle direction but have the same brightness in and around a normal viewing angle direction. When the display panel is in a wide viewing angle display mode, the first and second areas have substantially the same brightness in various viewing angle directions.

Abstract: A social graph may be modeled as a collection of claims. Each claim is associated with an author, an audience, and an assertion about a fact. Probabilistic information may be collected from various sources for a claim, enabling a social networking system to evaluate a truthfulness of the assertion made in the claim. User-declared profile information may be evaluated as claims. A user, entity, or application may make claims about any assertions made in the social networking system. Reputation scores may be determined for users based on evaluations of their historical assertions. Claims may be evaluated for truthfulness using a probabilistic prediction model using heuristics analysis, regression analysis, and machine learning methods. A claims-based profile of users may be provided to viewers based on the contexts in which the claims were made. Viewers may view claims made about users, such as the users' biographical information, contact information, expertise, and interests.

The method includes establishing a transmission link between a server device and a device under test (DUT), downloading a preinstallation environment module from the server device via the transmission link, utilizing the preinstallation environment module to perform a boot process, obtaining an installation file from the server device and installing a first operating system on the DUT according to the installation file, modifying the installation file to indicate that a second operating system is a next installation operating system, and utilizing the preinstallation environment module to perform a boot process again and installing the second operating system on the DUT according to the modified installation file.

Abstract: A cookware is revealed. The cookware includes a pot having a receiving space with an opening facing upward. An upper edge of the pot extends outward and downward to form a pendent edge. Thus a heat storage space is formed between the pendent edge and a pot wall. While heating the pot, heat is accumulated and stored in the heat storage space so that cooking temperature is increased and cooking time is reduced. Therefore energy-saving is achieved.
