Abstract: The present invention, a method of the arbitration of memory request for a computer graphics system, consecutively services the requests having the same type in the same period, thereby increasing the chance of page-hit. In this arbitration method, the length of a fixed period is defined by the 3-D graphics engine in accordance with the amount of memory cycles or the amount of the requests, and is used for controlling the amount of the requests of each type. The length of the period can be the cycles of servicing a block comprising a tile or several tiles. Alternatively, instead of defining a fixed length of the period, the 3-D graphics engine can choose another arbitration method of the present invention. Another arbitration method of the present invention is to mark a message at the end of the drawing block, so that the memory control can decide to rotate the service order to the next type of requests according to the block-end message received.

Abstract: A general purpose application interaction protocol, referred to herein as the Commerce Exchange Interaction Protocol (CXIP), governs the exchange of data between applications resident in computers in a distributed network such as the Internet, providing for application interoperability. CXIP enables process communications among network-distributed software applications, particularly, but not exclusively, among software applications having dissimilar platforms, language dependencies or vendor dependencies. Data structures, object and method invocation requests are exchanged between applications by means of XML documents based on CXIP semantics. The application interaction protocol, which is not specific to any particular functional domain and specifies interactions that are independent of transactional content, includes four component parts: message formats, message types, exchange semantics and transportation assumptions.

Abstract: A method for forming a light emitting diode includes forming a first stack, forming a second reaction layer over the first stack, forming a second stack, forming a first reaction layer over the second stack, and holding together the first reaction layer and the second reaction layer by means of a transparent adhesive layer. The transparent adhesive layer is formed between the first and second reaction layer, therefore the second reaction layer of the first stack will not come off the first reaction layer of the second stack.

Abstract: A light emitting diode having an adhesive layer and a reflective layer and a manufacturing method thereof featured by adhering together a light emitting diode stack and a substrate having a reflective metal layer by use of a transparent adhesive layer so that the light rays directed to the reflective metal layer can be reflected therefrom to improve the brightness of the light emitting diode.

Abstract: A three-dimensional (3-D) digital image processor and a method for processing a visibility for use in a displaying procedure of a 3-D digital image are disclosed. The 3-D digital image processor includes a depth map generator, a memory device and a rendering engine. The method includes steps of presetting a depth map according to a plurality of pixels received, the depth map storing the pixels and reference depths corresponding thereto, and receiving a pixel data and proceeding a visibility test with reference to the depth map, thereby determining whether to proceed a rendering operation on the 3-D digital image by the pixel data.

Abstract: An improved structure for a starter (driver) of a miniaturized remote control model car engine is able to perform perfect separation of the starter shaft from the engine as soon as the engine has built up its normal speed with the aid of the slanted surface and chamfered edges formed on its coupling plate, and the retrieved starter shaft never forwardly excurses to recontact the engine shaft by elaborately designed steel ball positioning means. With this structure, the extra mechanical loss and damage to the mechanical parts can be prevented, that makes the present invention applicable to those model car engines operated at an extra high speed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for an originator of a voice mail message stored on a voice mail system to modify the message after the session in which the message has ended. An originator initiates a session with a voice mail system, which queries the originator as to the intent of the session. If the session is to record a new message, the voice mail system accepts the message and a unique message identifier is assigned to the message. If the originator wishes to modify an existing voice mail message, the voice mail system requests the originator to supply the unique message identifier. After the message has been identified, the originator is given several options to modify the existing message.

The fractional part is an N-bit number and divided into K parts which have N1, N2, . . . , NK bits respectively, wherein N=N1+N2+ . . . +NK. Each of the exponential tables receives one of the K parts divided from the fractional part and outputs a result. Abstract: A power saving method for computer graphics systems. First, a first time period from the start of a frame to the end of the frame is obtained. Next, the first time period is compared with a default frame time of the computer graphics system. Finally, the computer graphics system is disabled between the end of the first time period and the end of the default frame time when the first time period is shorter than the default frame time.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for controlling an asynchronous First-In-First-Out (FIFO) memory. The asynchronous FIFO has separate, free running read and write clocks. A number of n-bit circular Gray code counters are used to handshake the operation between read and write parts of the FIFO, wherein n is any integer more than one. Additional binary counters are used to accumulate the read and write overflows for the circular Gray code counters. When any circular Gray code counter is overflow, the read or write count is transferred to the respective binary counter for recording the FIFO accesses.

The corelogic and software capable of graphics address remapping and directed accessing graphics memory of the embedded graphics adapter for supporting external AGP graphics adapter and embedded graphics adapter respectively. The embedded graphics adapter could be an AGP device while the external graphics adapter would be a PCI device, and vice versa.

Abstract: A diaphragm for a chemical mechanical polisher is composed of a rubber layer and a fiber layer. The size and shape of the diaphragm are suitably designed according to a gap and relative shifting between the rotary unit and holder to prevent creasing of the diaphragm and thereby decrease friction with a sidewall of the rotary unit and holder. The fibrous layer can improve the strength of the diaphragm in order to improve the lifetime of the diaphragm, reduce the frequency of maintenance of the polisher, and increase throughput.

Abstract: A texture mapping method. First, the pixels are grouped into a plurality of pixel sets. For each pixel set, a unique texture coordinate is calculated according to the texture coordinates of each pixel in the pixel set. Then, a texture filtering process is perform according to the unique texture coordinate, so as to obtain a color value of the texture filtering. Finally, the color value is assigned to each of the pixels in the pixel set.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for accelerated triangle occlusion culling in the computer graphic system. The triangle-based visibility testing is determined by using a triangle within a particular group of Coarse-Z buffer. If the triangle within a particular group of Coarse-Z buffer is hidden, then the triangle will be discarded. By using triangle-based visibility pre- test determined by the Coarse-Z buffer, the graphics system can skip hidden surface at a great lick and the requirement of memory bandwidth and unnecessary computations is eliminated.
