The data obtaining method includes: obtaining, by the first communication device, first information of a terminal device, where the first information is used for indicating the address information of the session of the terminal device at the historical time, and the session includes a session in which the terminal device reports data to the first communication device; and obtaining, by the first communication device based on the first information, data of the terminal device at a first time, where the first time overlaps with the historical time.
