  • Publication number: 20040073326
Abstract: A method and a system for managing engineer-modified trial operation are provided, for use in an enterprise to perform automatic integration planning for engineer-modified related processes. By computer information management technology and network technology, an online trial operation procedure is executed for a confirmed engineer-modified project. This procedure involves material planning and uploading trial data to a quality control department after the trial is completed to produce a trial operation test report that is directed to associated departments. Compared to the prior art, the integration planning conducted by the proposed system allows employees of the enterprise to more easily access and manage data in real time, thereby improving operational efficiency of the enterprise.

  • Patent number: 6717208
Abstract: Disabling flash memory cells to protect their contents, and thus essentially transforming them into read-only memory (ROM) cells, is disclosed. A gate mask and an implant code mask are positioned over a given flash memory cell. A field oxide layer is then fabricated within a substrate layer of the cell through the masks as logically and'ed together. By such fabrication, the flash memory cell is at least partially disabled. The masks are preferably a gate mask and an implant code mask, as these masks typically are already existing and available for use.

  • Patent number: 6711956
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, an apparatus and a method for regulating exhaust pressure in an evacuation system of a semiconductor process chamber are provided. The method comprises steps of generating a first pressure in the semiconductor process chamber with the evacuation system, monitoring the first pressure to generate a first signal, determining a set point for the exhaust pressure responsive to the first signal, and regulating the exhaust pressure by a controller till reaching the set point. The key aspect of the present invention is to maintain the equilibrium of the chamber pressure and the exhaust pressure by implementing an exhaust controller to control the gas flow rate introduced into the evacuation system. In other words, when the chamber pressure is increased, the gas is introduced into the evacuation system at an increased flow rate. On the other hand, when the chamber pressure is decreased, the gas is introduced into the evacuation system at a decreased flow rate.

  • Patent number: 6667892
Abstract: A voltage-averaged temperature compensation method at start-up. The method implements two pluralities of PMOS devices such that a respective voltage-averaged temperature compensation circuit produces a first temperature voltage and a second temperature voltage to compensate temperature effect and accordingly produces an output voltage having a damping waveform in lower region when activating the first plurality of PMOS devices and a desired waveform in upper region when activating the second plurality of PMOS devices. As such, the error reference or control due to a prior damping waveform is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6661043
Abstract: A new method is provided for the creation of a 1T RAM cell. Standard processing is applied to create STI trenches in the surface of a substrate, N2 implantations are performed into the sidewalls of the STI trenches. A layer of lining oxide is created, the implanted N2 interacts with the lining oxide to form SiON over exposed surfaces of the STI trenches. STI oxide is deposited and polished, filling the STI trenches there-with. Crown patterning is performed to define capacitor areas, the crown patterning stops on a layer of etch stop material and the created SION and partially removes STI oxide from the STI trenches. Layers of etch stop material, exposed SiON and pad oxide are removed, exposing the surface of the silicon substrate, the etched layers of STI oxide are not affected by this removal. A layer of SAC oxide is grown, n-well and p-well implantations are performed into the surface of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 6638813
Abstract: A process for forming a composite insulator spacer on the sides of a buried stack capacitor structure, wherein the buried stack capacitor structure is located overlying a portion of an insulator filled, shallow trench isolation (STI) region, has been developed. A thin silicon nitride spacer is first formed on the sides of the completed buried stack capacitor structure, followed by deposition of a silicon oxide layer. An anisotropic dry etch procedure is next employed removing a top portion of the silicon oxide layer, and resulting in a partially defined silicon oxide spacer. A critical wet etch procedure is next used to remove the bottom portion of the silicon oxide layer, defining the final silicon oxide spacer of the composite insulator spacer, now comprised of a silicon oxide spacer on an underlying silicon nitride spacer.

  • Patent number: 6634957
Abstract: A golf club has a weight member provided between a shaft and a head thereof. The weight member is optionally made of materials with high density, and has a weight substantially equal to a weight of a standard head of a conventional golf club minus the weight of the head of the golf club of the invention. Thus, the weight of the head is less than the standard head of the conventional golf club and the whole weight of the golf club is equal to the conventional golf club, so that the twisting force applied to the head of the golf club is lessened, and the stability of the golf club is improved.

  • Publication number: 20030196006
Abstract: A method for flexibly configuring default values of a network device and a network device using such flexible configuration method is described. First, it is determined whether the default values are obtained through a microprocessor interface or a memory interface. When it is determined that the default values are obtained through the memory interface, a header is received from a memory through the memory interface it is determined from the header whether any default value of the network device should be updated. If the network device should be updated, then at least one configuration instruction is fetched from the memory and the at least one configuration instruction is interpreted. A register default value of the default values is changed, corresponding to the interpreted at least one configuration instruction.
