  • Publication number: 20030196005
Abstract: A method for flexibly configuring default values of a network device through an EEPROM interface is disclosed. A header is received from an EEPROM through the EEPROM interface and it is determined from the header whether any default value of the network device should be updated, and if any, how many should be updated. At least one configuration instruction is fetched from the EEPROM when it is determined that the network device should be updated. The at least one configuration instruction is interpreted and a register default value of the default values corresponding to the interpreted at least one configuration instruction is changed.

  • Patent number: 6624465
Abstract: A method is provided for forming multi-layer spacer (MLS) for flash EEPROM devices. A composite tetraethyl orthosilicate-silicon nitride (TEOS/Si3N4) layer is deposited over the floating gate and anisotropically etched to form the MLS. The resulting MLS is better controlled dimensionally with the attendant advantage, therefore, of better definition of gate and channel lengths in the memory cell for more predictable and better programming and erase performance of EEPROMs.

  • Patent number: 6619297
Abstract: A cosmetic case includes a frame unit and a stack of trays. The trays are mounted pivotally on the frame unit, and are turnable about a single axis to move between a closed position in which the trays are aligned with each other, and an open position in which the trays are out of alignment from each other. Each of the trays lags behind an adjacent one of the trays during turning movement of the trays, and has a first engaging member, a slide rail, and a second engaging member. The first engaging member of each of the trays is slidable along the slide rail and is engageable with the second engaging member of an adjacent one of the trays for subsequent simultaneous movement therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6620053
Abstract: A golf club with high accuracy in driving a golf ball is disclosed. The golf club includes a tapered hollow shaft having a thin end and a thick end, with a weight received in the hollow shaft. A head is formed with a neck that defines a stepped hole for fixedly receiving the thin end of the shaft. Importantly, the head is made less heavy than a related standard by an amount equivalent to the weight in the hollow shaft, and so the golf club has the same gross weight as a normal club.

  • Patent number: 6615093
Abstract: A self-adjusting prediction system that provides for the transmission and storage of push lots of work. It uses an adaptive control algorithm in it's methodology to improve Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) transmissions. The method of prediction is greatly enchanted to reduce overall cycle time, incorrect transmission of work lots, and idle manufacturing tools. It provides real-time updating that enables a complex manufacturing Fab to process work with optimum movement between tools.

  • Patent number: 6590464
Abstract: A resistor-capacitor oscillator for receiving a current source, comprising a first switch path and a second switch path that are symmetric and connected in parallel. The first switch path comprises a signal output terminal and a first voltage output terminal. The second switch path comprises a complementary signal output terminal and the second voltage output terminal. One of these two voltage output terminals is selected randomly and input to both the first comparator and the second comparator simultaneously. The first comparator further receives a {fraction (1/2 )} VBG voltage, and the second comparator further receives 2VBG voltage. The first comparator outputs to a PMOS transistor, and the second comparator outputs to an NMOS transistor. The PMOS transistor is in series with the NMOS transistor, and is jointly coupled in between the system power supply and the ground voltage. Moreover, a latch and an inverter are serially coupled to the location of the serial junction node of these two transistors.

  • Publication number: 20030123359
Abstract: The invention provides a method for adjusting a speed-detection device for an object lens in an optical pickup head. The invention provides an adjusted optical disc drive, wherein the optical pickup head is accelerated/decelerated and the speed-detection device outputs a standard signal level. Next, the optical pickup head of an unadjusted optical disc drive is accelerated/decelerated under the same condition, and the speed-detection device outputs a speed signal level. Finally, the gain of a programmable gain amplifier is adjusted until the speed signal is equal to the standard signal.

  • Publication number: 20030079550
Abstract: In accordance with the present invention, an apparatus and a method for regulating exhaust pressure in an evacuation system of a semiconductor process chamber are provided. The method comprises steps of generating a first pressure in the semiconductor process chamber with the evacuation system, monitoring the first pressure to generate a first signal, determining a set point for the exhaust pressure responsive to the first signal, and regulating the exhaust pressure by a controller till reaching the set point. The key aspect of the present invention is to maintain the equilibrium of the chamber pressure and the exhaust pressure by implementing an exhaust controller to control the gas flow rate introduced into the evacuation system. In other words, when the chamber pressure is increased, the gas is introduced into the evacuation system at an increased flow rate. On the other hand, when the chamber pressure is decreased, the gas is introduced into the evacuation system at a decreased flow rate.

  • Patent number: 6541339
Abstract: A new method is provides for the creation of a hardmask over a layer of polysilicon for the etching of floating gate for split-gate flash memory devices. A layer of gate oxide is created over the surface of a substrate, a layer of polysilicon is deposited over the surface of the layer of gate oxide. In a first embodiment of the invention, a layer of native oxide is grown over the surface of the layer of gate material, this layer of gate oxide is used to enhance oxidation of exposed portions of the layer of gate material. In a second embodiment of the invention, enhanced oxidation of exposed portions of the layer of polysilicon is achieved by modifying the conventional sequence of the oxidation process. This latter modification is realized by modifying the forward motion of the substrates through the oxidation furnace or by modifying the sequence in which the substrates move through the oxidation furnace.
