Abstract: An exemplary locking structure for a portable electronic device includes an engagement portion and a fastener. The engagement portion includes an upper plate and a lateral plate perpendicular to the upper plate. Two protrusions are fixed on a fringe of the upper plate and lateral plate. The lateral plate defines a through hole. The fastener includes a main body, a first holding sheet, two second holding sheets, and a third holding sheet. The main body abuts the lateral plate. The first and second holding sheets extend from the upper plate in a first direction and the second holding sheets are engaged with the protrusions. The third holding sheet extends from a bottom end of the main body and passes through the through hole so that a locking hole of the third holding sheet is exposed outside of the housing.

Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided. A first subscriber identity card camps on a first cell belonging to a first wireless network via at least one radio transceiver module. A second subscriber identity card camps on a second cell belonging to a second wireless network via the radio transceiver module. A memory device stores information indicating at least one discount period of the first wireless network and at least one discount period of the second wireless network. A processor receives an apparatus originated communication request with a destination address, determines whether a current time falls within the discount period of the first wireless network or the discount period of the second wireless network, and establishes a wireless communication with a peer device of the received destination address through one of the first cell or the second cell in response to the fallen discount period.

Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided. A first subscriber identity card camps on a first cell belonging to a first wireless network via at least one radio transceiver module. A second subscriber identity card camps on a second cell belonging to a second wireless network via the radio transceiver module. A memory device stores a plurality of phonebook entries each comprising a destination address and information indicating one of the first and second subscriber identity cards as a preferred subscriber identity card for the destination address. A processor receives an apparatus originated communication request with a first destination address, determines the preferred subscriber identity card for the received first destination address by inspecting the phonebook entries, and establishes a wireless communication with a peer device with the received first destination address through one of the first cell and the second cells in response to the determined preferred subscriber identity card.

Abstract: An automatic feedback adjustment device for a digital antenna includes a digital antenna unit, a trafficator, a tuner, a demodulator, an antenna direction driver unit, a secondary controller, and a primary controller. The digital antenna unit is a digital video/broadcasting antenna system. The trafficator is connected to the digital antenna unit to retrieve direction data associated with the actual elevation angle and direction. The tuner is connected to the digital antenna unit and the demodulator is connected to the tuner in order to receive and convert a transmission signal from a transmission terminal into the video data and a received-signal quality signal. The antenna direction driver unit is connected to the digital antenna unit in order to drive adjustment of direction and elevation angle of the antenna.

Abstract: An electronic target has a base, a sensing assembly and a collector. The base has a body and a stand. The base is an electrical target module and has an outer edge and a front surface. The stand is mounted on the outer edge of the body and hold the body vertical. The sensing assembly is formed on the front surface of the body and has a sticky cushion. The collector corresponds to, is mounted on and protrudes from the stand below the sensing assembly. When a pellet strikes the sticky cushion, the sticky cushion momentarily deforms slightly to hold the pellet momentarily and absorb energy of the pellet. After the pellet momentarily sticks to the sticky cushion, it falls into the collector.

Abstract: A method of removing a metal silicide layer on a gate electrode in a semiconductor manufacturing process is disclosed, in which the gate electrode, a metal silicide layer, a spacer, a silicon nitride cap layer, and a dielectric layer have been formed. The method includes performing a chemical mechanical polishing process to polish the dielectric layer using the silicon nitride cap layer as a polishing stop layer to expose the silicon nitride cap layer over the gate electrode; removing the exposed silicon nitride cap layer to expose the metal silicide layer; and performing a first etching process to remove the metal silicide layer on the gate electrode.

Abstract: A projector includes a lamp, a fan for dissipating heat generated by the lamp, a housing, a number of blades received in the housing, and a elongated-slider. The housing receives the lamp and the fan, and includes a top cover, a sidewall connected to the top cover, and a bottom cover connected to the sidewall. The top cover defines an through opening therein. The blades can be rotated in cooperation with the slide of the elongated-slider in the through opening. As described above, the projector can exhaust thermal formed by the lamp or electronic elements from the air outlet. At the same time, the flow direction of the air from the air outlet can be changed in cooperation with the slider. Therefore, when a user sits by the air outlet, the user can adjust the flow direction of the air from the air outlet at any time.

Abstract: A projector equipped with an illuminated logo region includes a light source including a reflector defining an opening and a light-emitting portion contained by the reflector, a light-modulating device, a lens, a housing, and a logo region. The light-emitting portion emits light radially. Part of the light is emitted directly through the opening of the reflector and/or is reflected by the reflector through the opening to be received by the light-modulating device to be modulated to produce a projecting light before being received by the lens and then projected to form an image on a surface. Another part of the light is transmitted through the reflector to illuminate the logo region. The housing is configured for housing the light source, the light-modulating device, and the lens. The logo region is inlaid in a portion of the housing corresponding to the reflector, to be illuminated by the another part of light.

Abstract: A motherboard comprises a first unit which includes most components that are common in a group of motherboards which have a same chip set, a second unit which includes components that are different in the group of motherboards, and a BIOS Bin file which is loaded in the first unit. The BIOS Bin file comprises a share module, a loading module unit which includes a plurality of loading modules each corresponding to one type of motherboard, and a startup module which identifies the type of the motherboard according to a voltage of pre-selected GPIO Pins, and reads one of the loading modules corresponding to that type of motherboard to identify and initiate the second unit, and reads the share module to identify and initiate the first unit.

Abstract: A speaker holder includes a base with a blocking portion, a restraining plate, and two flanges extending form a same side of the base. The restraining plate is separated from the blocking portion. The restraining plate has an inward restraining tab at an end of the restraining plate remote from the base. The blocking portion, the restraining plate, and the two flanges cooperatively form a receiving space for receiving and restraining the speaker on the base. The speaker can be directly inserted into the receiving space and more easily and firmly fixed therein utilizing the restraining tap of the restraining plate. Therefore, time spent to assemble the speaker is less than the conventional method.

Abstract: A lens module includes a holder base, which is affixed to a circuit board and has bottom receiving holes for receiving LEDs or sensors on the circuit board and a top flange with a foolproof notch, a lens device press-fitted into the top flange and secured to the foolproof notch to ensure accurate positioning and having flat protrusions engaged into respective through holes in the holder base in alignment with the LEDs or sensors, and a top cover capped on the holder base to hold down the lens device and having through holes that receive convex portions of the lens device respectively.

Abstract: A solar tracker does not need to stand high. The solar tracker has a strong structure and a stable center of gravity for tracking sunlight. Thus, the solar tracker does not need a foundation to be connected for standing upon. And the solar tracker is fit to be used on a bare ground or roof with a low cost.

Abstract: Disclosed is a storage apparatus for digital TV video/analog TV video/digital audio broadcasting/analog audio broadcasting media (DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB). The storage apparatus comprises a controller, a DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB interface converter and at least one storage media interfaces. The controller has a plurality of terminals for controlling the storage apparatus. The DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB interface converter connects to one of the terminals and a digital/analog tuner to receive DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB signals and converts the DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB signals into DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB data. The storage media interfaces respectively connect to the terminals of the controller and to at least one portable storage media, for storing the DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB data received from the DTV/ATV/DAB/AAB interface converter into the portable storage media. The controller can be an OTG controller.

The storage media interface can be connected to a portable storage media, such as flash memory, CD-R/W, DVD-R/W, and hard disk drive, to enable bi-directional data transmission and storage between the electronic device with a USB interface and the portable storage media connected to the storage media interface. The audio codec player forms a bi-directional data transmission connection with the storage media interface. The audio codec player is connected to at least an audio player and an audio input device.

Abstract: An exemplary network system includes a remote computer and a network server. The remote computer includes a baseboard management controller (BMC), a south bridge chipset, a power button, and a switching circuit. The switching circuit has a control terminal connected to an output of the BMC, a power terminal connected to a power supply, and also connected to a SB_PWRBTN pin of the south bridge chipset, and a ground terminal connected to ground via the power button. The network server is connected to an input of the BMC of the remote computer, the network server outputs a control signal for forbidding activating the remote computer, the BMC receives the control signal and outputs a low level voltage signal to turn off the transistor, and the remote computer can not be activated.

Abstract: In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for receiving first and second data operands in a common execution unit and manipulating the operands responsive to an instruction to generate an output according to local control signals of a local controller of the execution unit. Various instruction types such as shuffle and shift operations may be performed in the common execution unit in a single cycle. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
