    Abstract: A laterally diffused metal-oxide-semiconductor (LDMOS) device as well as a method of making the same is disclosed. A gate is formed on a semiconductor substrate between a source region and a drain region with one side laterally extending onto a part of a field oxide layer and the opposite side beside the source region. A gate dielectric layer is formed between the gate and the semiconductor substrate, wherein the gate dielectric layer comprises two or more portions having different thicknesses arranged laterally in a way that the thicknesses of the portions gradually increase from one side beside the source doping region to the opposite side bordering the field oxide layer. With such structure, the hot carrier impact is minimized and the gate length can be scaled down to gain Idlin.

    Abstract: This invention provides an electrical appliance housing comprising a main body and a lid. At least one magnetic controlling assembly is provided on the housing, comprising a sliding key that shifts in a sliding groove. The sliding key further includes a pair of controlling magnets with opposing magnetic polarity. An actuating magnet is installed inside of the housing and corresponds to a specific controlling key of the electrical appliance. Shifting the sliding key will produce a magnetic force relative to the actuating magnet, and this force in turn activates the controlling key of the electrical appliance. In addition, at least one functional device is installed on the lid that corresponds to the specific functional key of the electrical appliance, comprising a pair of blind holes situated so to correspond with one another. An actuating magnet is installed in the inner hole and a controlling magnet is fixed on the bottom of the sliding key which has the same magnetic polarity with said actuating magnet.

    Abstract: The optical fiber indicator light includes a lighting device, an optical fiber and an optical guiding structure. The optical fiber has a first optical fiber point a second optical fiber point. The first optical fiber point is abutted on the lighting device and the second optical fiber point is opposed against the first optical fiber point. The optical guiding structure has a lens, a passage, and an air chamber connected with the passage. The air chamber is located behind the lens. A portion of the optical fiber is contained in the passage, and the second optical fiber point is placed in the air chamber. Light emitted from the optical fiber may be diffused by the air chamber to enlarge visible area of the optical fiber.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a universal grid composite circuit board testing tool having a probe station, a clamp base and a conducting wire base. The probe station and clamp base separately have a plurality of conducting probes and long needles. Both ends of the long needle are electrically contacted with the testing point and conducting probe of the testing printed circuit board. The conducting wire base includes a conducting wire contact point electrically connected to a plurality of conducting probes in the probe station at the same time, such that when a testing printed circuit board is tested, it is not necessary to prepare a new probe station and a new conducting wire base. The test simply requires users to change the installation positions of the long needles and run a comparison program according to the positions of the testing points of the testing printed circuit board.

A light source produces at least a first light beam and a second light beam; guiding the first light beam and the second light beam to enter the SIL for interacting with the object surface. This method can be used in, for example, a near-field optical disc storage system, wherein reflection intensities of the first and second light beams are used to measure two distances between the SIL and the optical disc at two positions corresponding to the first and second light beams.     Abstract: The present invention relates to a color interpolation method for Bayer filter array images. The method first inputs a 3×3 Bayer pattern block with a center pixel. Next, a color filter interpolation case is determined according to the type of the center pixel. Next, Bayer pixel averages and Bayer pixel differences in horizontal and vertical directions of the color filter interpolation case are obtained. Next, missing color components of the center pixel are interpolated in both horizontal and vertical directions. Next, color differences in the horizontal and vertical directions are obtained based on the Bayer pixel differences and averages. Next, a pixel activity of the 3×3 Bayer pixel block is determined. Finally, interpolated color components in the direction of lower color differences are selected, when the pixel activity is high.
