    Abstract: A conductive layer is formed on the first zone of a carrier. The redistribution layer is formed on the conductive layer on the first zone and the second zone of the carrier. Then an open-test and a short-test are performed to the redistribution layer. Since the conductive layer and the parts of the redistribution layer formed on the conductive layer constitute a closed loop, a load is presented if the redistribution layer is formed correctly. In addition, no load is presented if the redistribution layer is formed correctly since the parts of the redistribution layer formed on the second zone of the carrier constitute an open loop. Therefore, whether the redistribution layer is flawed or not is determined before the dies are boned on the redistribution layer. Thus, no waste of the good die is occurred because of the flawed redistribution layer.

An anneal is performed to react the bottom portion of the metal layer with the source/drain region to form a silicide region.

    Abstract: The techniques described are directed to providing mass withdrawal of media access control (MAC) routes for network devices in an Ethernet virtual private network data center interconnect (EVPN DCI). MAC routes to reach the learned MAC addresses are stored in routing tables with corresponding top-of-rack Ethernet segment identifier (TOR-ESI) values that represent the Ethernet segments from where the MAC addresses were learned. A provider edge (PE) network device may configure and advertise a virtual Ethernet segment identifier (vESI) that includes a plurality of TOR-ESI values. As Ethernet segments of the data center become unavailable, the corresponding TOR-ESI values may be withdrawn from the vESI to form an updated vESI. In this way, MAC routes having a TOR-ESI value that was withdrawn from the vESI may be removed from the routing tables in each of the network devices.

Particularly, the present invention teaches the use of monosaccharide-like glycylated sugar alcohol compounds to block or reduce sugar absorption in diabetes patients, so as to prevent the risk of hyperglycemia symptoms. Glycylation of sugar alcohols is a totally novel reaction that has never been reported before. Therefore, the novelty of the present invention is that for the first time glycylated sugar alcohols not only was found but also was found to be useful for treating Diabetes mellitus. In addition, the present invention teaches a method for producing these glycylated sugar alcohols. In sum, the present invention includes not only a kind of novel sugar-like chemical compositions and its use for treating diabetes but also a state-of-the-art protocol and methodology for producing such a novel composition via glycylation of sugars and sugar alcohols.
