    Abstract: A method for forming a gate oxide layer on a substrate is provided, in which a region of the substrate is defined out by a shallow trench isolation (STI) structure. An oxide layer covers over the substrate and a mask layer with an opening to expose oxide layer corresponding to the region with an interface edge of the STI structure. The method includes forming a silicon spacer on a sidewall of the opening. A cleaning process is performed through the opening to expose the substrate at the region. An oxidation process is performed on the substrate at the region to form the gate oxide layer, wherein the silicon spacer is also oxidized to merge to an edge of the gate oxide layer.

The visual positioning apparatus derives an image by sensing a visual code marker in a space and performs the following operations: (a) identifying an identified marker image included in the image, (b) searching out the corner positions of the identified marker image, (c) deciding a marker structure of the identified marker image according to the corner positions, wherein the marker structure includes vertices, (d) selecting a portion of the vertices as first feature points, (e) searching out a second feature point for each first feature point, (f) updating the vertices of the marker structure according to the second feature points, (g) selecting a portion of the updated vertices as the third feature points, and (h) calculating the position of the visual positioning apparatus according to the third feature points.

For example, the techniques may readily be applied to support usage of PIM-SM where provider edge (PE) routers of the EVPN operate as gateways between the EVPN and the VXLAN spanning the data center interconnect.

The flexible enclosure includes a second joining edge and by engaging the first joining edge with the second joining edge, the front cover sheet and the flexible enclosure are fixed. Besides, the containing structure further includes a holding portion. Under a contained state, the holding portion is used to contain smaller objectives; whereas, in an unfolded state, in addition to using the flexible enclosure to contain larger objectives, the holding portion can be also used to contain smaller objectives. The present invention can be also applied to a piece of clothing combined with a bag unit or other flexible enclosure.

    Abstract: This invention is related to a novel sugar-like chemical composition and its use for diabetes therapy. Particularly, the present invention teaches the use of monosaccharide-like glycylated sugar alcohol compounds to block or reduce sugar absorption in diabetes patients, so as to prevent the risk of hyperglycemia symptoms. Glycylation of sugar alcohols is a totally novel reaction that has never been reported before. Therefore, the novelty of the present invention is that for the first time glycylated sugar alcohols not only was found but also was found to be useful for treating Diabetes mellitus. In addition, the present invention teaches a method for producing these glycylated sugar alcohols. In sum, the present invention includes not only a kind of novel sugar-like chemical compositions and its use for treating diabetes but also a state-of-the-art protocol and methodology for producing such a novel composition via glycylation of sugars and sugar alcohols.
