  • Publication number: 20050155533
Abstract: A circular table includes a table board, and two opposite support units each foldably mounted on the table board. Each of the two support units includes a support stand pivotally mounted on one of two ends of the table board, and a support member pivotally mounted on a mediate of the table board and pivotally connected with the support stand. Thus, the two support units are expanded outward rapidly to support the table board rigidly and stably, thereby facilitating the user expanding the circular table. In addition, the support units are folded in the receiving space of the table board to fold the circular table when not in use, thereby saving space of storage, package and transportation.

  • Publication number: 20050125074
Abstract: The present invention discloses methods for enhancing the wear-resistance of polymers, the resulting polymers, and in vivo implants made from such polymers. One aspect of this invention presents a method whereby a polymer is irradiated, preferably with gamma radiation, then thermally treated, such as by remelting of annealing. The resulting polymeric composition preferably has its most oxidized surface layer removed. Another aspect of the invention presents a general method for optimizing the wear resistance and desirable physical and/or chemical properties of a polymer by crosslinking and thermally treating it. The resulting polymeric compositions is wear-resistant and may be fabricated into an in vivo implant.

  • Publication number: 20040227382
Abstract: A bench folding mechanism for picnic tables, including two parallel tube members installed at the ends of collapsible table legs on two sides under a tabletop, the benches on two sides each have bench legs that are selectively folded inwardly. At the end of the table leg is installed a telescopic tube inserted into a tube member at the end of the table leg. Thereby, the benches are capable of being extended outside the tabletop or retracted under the tabletop. When the benches are folded under the tabletop, the table legs and bench legs are simultaneously folded inwardly under the tabletop, and the benches are folded to two sides under the tabletop. Therefore, the size of the entire picnic table can be reduced to almost the cubic measurements of the tabletop. The invention provides convenience in handling, storing and transportation of the picnic table.
