    Abstract: This application provides a unicast communication method and apparatus. The method includes: A first relay device receives a first message sent by a first terminal device, where the first message includes a first identifier of a second terminal device. The first relay device sends a second message to the second terminal device when transmission quality of the first message meets a first preset condition, where the second message is for establishing a first unicast connection, and the first unicast connection is a unicast connection established between the first terminal device and the second terminal device through the first relay device. According to the unicast communication method provided in this application, an appropriate relay device is selected in a unicast connection establishment process. This helps improve a success rate of the unicast connection and communication quality of unicast communication.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: A first terminal performs integrity protection verification on a received RRC message; and when the integrity protection verification fails, an RRC layer of the first terminal sends a first indication and an identifier of a second terminal to an application layer of the first terminal, where the first indication and the identifier of the second terminal are used by the application layer to disconnect a unicast connection between the first terminal and the second terminal. Based on this solution, when the integrity protection verification performed by the first terminal on the received message fails, the RRC layer of the first terminal may report the first indication and the identifier of the second terminal to the application layer, to trigger the application layer to disconnect the unicast connection between the first terminal and the second terminal.

In the communication system, the master base station sends a first message to the secondary base station for allocating transmission resources for one or more flows to be transmitted between the secondary base station and a terminal, wherein the first message carries one or both of: identification information of each flow to be transmitted, and information of a data radio bearer (DRB) associated with each flow to be transmitted, then the secondary base station may determine a mapping relationship between a DRB and an admitted flow according to the first message. Moreover, the master base station sends DRB configuration information to the terminal. Therefore, requirements of 5G communication systems for QoS management of information transmission in a dual connectivity scenario can be met.

    Abstract: Example configuration methods and apparatus are described. An example communications system includes a master node and a secondary node that jointly provide a service for a terminal. One example method includes generating configuration information for a signaling radio bearer (SRB) by the secondary node, where the SRB is used to transmit a radio resource control (RRC) message between the secondary node and the terminal. The secondary node sends the configuration information for the SRB to the master node, so that the configuration information for the SRB is sent to the terminal through the master node. The secondary node receives a result of configuring the SRB by the terminal by using the configuration information for the SRB. In this way, the SRB can be established on the secondary node, and used for RRC message transmission between the secondary node and the terminal.
