  • Publication number: 20210281131
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments may include a permanent magnet system that will move rotor assembly with respect to the position of a stator assembly. A stator assembly may be stationary and take the form of a circular system while a rotor assembly may be magnetically urged in rotational movement within the stator assembly. Both the rotor and stator assemblies may be populated with permanent magnet pole pieces such that the rotating magnetic field of the rotor interacts with the static magnetic field of the stator and thereby achieves a magnetic interaction that urges rotation of the rotor assembly. By virtue of the moving magnetic fields of the rotor, positions of the rotor and stator magnets, the attraction to repulsion forces of the rotor magnets may be uneven and thus add to the rotational energy of the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20210271762
Abstract: A method for symbolic analysis of a software program is described. The method comprises constructing a control flow graph (CFG), for a software program procedure, the CFG comprising nodes representing basic blocks reachable within the software program procedure, the basic blocks represented as respective functions from a first machine state on entry to a said basic block to a second machine state on exit from that basic block. The method further describes simplifying the CFG to a single node representing the software program procedure as a function from an input machine state on entry to the software program procedure to an output machine state on exit from the software program procedure, comparing said function to a rule set identifying vulnerabilities based on effects on the machine state; and determining a vulnerability within the software program procedure based on the comparing.

  • Publication number: 20210260583
Abstract: A well plate assembly with an interior channel system in the well plate lid provides a more efficient and uniform distribution of fluid into a receptacle positioned below the well plate lid. The channel system in the lid allows air, or other fluid, to pass through with the use of a pump to each of a plurality of channels in the receptacle. Inlet and outlet valves in the lid prevent a gasket positioned between the lid and the receptacle from releasing contact with the receptacle due to high pressure experienced during the injection of fluid into the assembly. Specifically, pressure under a specified tolerance passes through the inlet valves, and if the pressure within the channel system exceeds the limit of the outlet valve, the outlet valve opens and allows air to escape the lid safely without disturbing the fluid flow into the channels below.

  • Publication number: 20210238614
Abstract: Methods and compositions are provided for the improvement of homology-directed repair of a double strand break in a plant cell, via the use of a polynucleotide comprising sequences homologous to the target site. In some aspects, the double strand break is created by an RNA-guided Cas endonuclease. The homology-directed repair of the double-strand break may include incorporation of a heterologous polynucleotide, for example a gene encoding a trait of agronomic importance. The homology-directed repair of the double-strand break may occur as a result of template-directed repair using a polynucleotide repair template.

  • Patent number: 11071347
Abstract: Articles of footwear including footbed membranes and rigid or semi-rigid frames may be configured to suspend and support a wearer's foot during all stages of the gait cycle. Footbed membranes may be configured to suspend the wearer's foot with nothing underneath the footbed membrane, maintaining a gap between the footbed membrane and the frame during the entire gait cycle. Footbed membranes may be formed of elastomeric materials having less than a threshold percentage of elongation in response to loading, to maintain suspension of the wearer's foot. The outsole, frame, and footbed membrane may be integrated such that the components work together to support the wearer's foot during the gait cycle and in static conditions as well. Methods of making such articles of footwear may include sewing the footwear upper to the footbed membrane via a sew wall, without cementing the upper.

  • Patent number: 11070205
Abstract: When a signal glitches, logic receiving the signal may change in response, thereby charging and/or discharging nodes within the logic and dissipating power. Providing a glitch-free signal may reduce the number of times the nodes are charged and/or discharged, thereby reducing the power dissipation. A technique for eliminating glitches in a signal is to insert a storage element that samples the signal after it is done changing to produce a glitch-free output signal. The storage element is enabled by a “ready” signal having a delay that matches the delay of circuitry generating the signal. The technique prevents the output signal from changing until the final value of the signal is achieved. The output signal changes only once, typically reducing the number of times nodes in the logic receiving the signal are charged and/or discharged so that power dissipation is also reduced.

  • Patent number: 11066928
Abstract: A telemetry method transmits data from a downhole location to a surface location. During transmission an event is detected that makes it desirable to change a transmitted data stream. A downhole processor processes the detected event in combination with a predefined event database and downhole measurement data using a frame building algorithm to compute a digital data stream. Synchronization markers are added to the data stream to obtain a synchronized data stream in which the synchronization markers identify the detected event. The synchronized data stream is transmitted to the surface location using a downhole telemetry tool and received at the surface location to obtain a decoded data stream. A surface processor processes the synchronization markers to identify the detected event and further processes the detected event in combination with a predefined event database and the decoded data stream using the frame building algorithm to obtain the downhole measurements.

  • Publication number: 20210207402
Abstract: An electronic key may include a partial capacitor comprising a capacitive metal plate in communication with a processor. The capacitive metal plate of the partial capacitor is configured to form a capacitor with a corresponding capacitive metal plate of a lock when brought into proximity with the metal plate of the lock. Data may be transferred from the key to the lock using a capacitor formed by combining the two metal plates, wherein a common ground is established between the metal plate of the key and the metal plate of the lock through a parasitic capacitance present between the key and lock circuitry. Audit trail data may be recorded based on usage of the key.
