  • Patent number: 11317942
Abstract: A support apparatus for supporting a trocar while the trocar extends through a body wall of a patient includes an inflatable collar and a slidable abutment collar commonly connected for engagement onto the trocar following which the slide collar is released to slide along the trocar. The inflatable collar is inflated to a set size by a manually operable pump on the slidable collar operated by squeezing finger abutments together up to a latch so that threaded portion expels the inflation fluid. The abutment member is shaped to be received on an outer surface of the trocar and adjustable longitudinally of the trocar sleeve so as to be located at a selected position by a manually movable latch collar. The inflatable collar and slidably collar are held connected by a manually operable release.

  • Publication number: 20220127982
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for remotely monitoring liquid lubricant levels for pump equipment. A system includes a reservoir to store lubricant and a lubrication gland to expose a shaft seal of the pump equipment to the lubricant. A feed line and a return line circulate the lubricant between the reservoir and the lubrication gland. A level sensor is configured to measure a fluid level in the reservoir. The level sensor uses a communication interface to transmit fluid level data a monitoring device mounted to the pump equipment. The monitoring device is configured to compare the fluid level data against stored alert thresholds and send, to a provider network, an alert signal when the fluid level data is below an alert threshold. If the fluid level data is not below an alert threshold, the monitoring device stores the fluid level data for periodic reporting.

  • Patent number: 11304254
Abstract: In a general aspect, a motion sensing topology of a multi-access point (multi-AP) wireless communication network can be controlled. In some aspects, the multi-AP wireless communication network includes a first AP device, a second AP device, and a multi-AP controller. The multi-AP controller identifies a wireless communication topology, which includes identifying that a first client station device is associated with the first AP device. The multi-AP controller defines a motion sensing topology that is different from the wireless communication topology, and the motion sensing topology includes a wireless motion sensing link between the first client station device and the second AP device. The multi-AP controller initiates a motion sensing measurement based on the motion sensing topology, and the motion sensing measurement uses the wireless motion sensing link while the first client station device remains associated with the first AP device.

  • Patent number: 11280698
Abstract: Non-contact methods of predicting an insertion loss of a test optical fiber connector are disclosed. Light is sent down the at least one optical fiber of the connector in the fundamental mode to emit an output light beam. The output-beam image is captured at different distances from the fiber end faces to define multiple output-beam images each associated with one of the multiple measurement positions. A Gaussian curve is then fitted to the multiple output-beam images to determine a mode field diameter, an offset, and a tilt of the output light beam. A Gaussian field model that incorporates the offset, the tilt, and the mode-field diameter is then used to predict the insertion loss when connecting to a reference optical fiber of a reference optical fiber connector.
