  • Patent number: 10237822
Abstract: In some embodiments, automatic selective enablement of a wireless interface is provided. In some embodiments, a first device such as a recording device broadcasts a notification via a first wireless interface. The notification may be received by a second device such as a network device, which activates a second wireless interface in response. In some embodiments, the second device may transmit a notification via the first wireless interface to indicate that the second wireless interface has been activated. In response to receiving such a notification, the first device may activate its own second wireless interface in order to complete the connection and transmit a data record to the second device. In some embodiments, the first wireless interface is a low-power wireless interface, and the second wireless interface is a high-power wireless interface.

  • Publication number: 20190065383
Abstract: A method and apparatus for implementing a buffer cache for a persistent file system in non-volatile memory is provided. A set of data is maintained in one or more extents in non-volatile random-access memory (NVRAM) of a computing device. At least one buffer header is allocated in dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) of the computing device. In response to a read request by a first process executing on the computing device to access one or more first data blocks in a first extent of the one or more extents, the first process is granted direct read access of the first extent in NVRAM. A reference to the first extent in NVRAM is stored in a first buffer header. The first buffer header is associated with the first process. The first process uses the first buffer header to directly access the one or more first data blocks in NVRAM.

  • Patent number: 10185926
Abstract: A system for component based aggregation of medication orders may include a processor and memory. The processor may receive display a queue that lists medication orders to be prepared by a healthcare professional, the medication orders indicating component medications that will be used to prepare the ordered medications. The processor may receive a selection of a first medication order listed in the queue, where the first medication order indicates a first component medication. The processor may determine a second medication order listed in the queue that indicates the first component medication. The processor may reorder the displayed queue such that the second medication order is listed adjacent to the first medication order. The processor may notify the healthcare professional of the second medication order, such as by displaying an indication of the second medication order separately from the queue.

  • Patent number: 10184713
Abstract: An enclosure includes an enclosure interior and an enclosure opening through which air passes from outside the enclosure into the enclosure interior. An evaporator located at the enclosure interior is positioned so that at least some of the air that passes through the enclosure opening flows in a direct and uninterrupted path to the evaporator. A shield within the enclosure interior is interposed between the enclosure opening and the evaporator and is positioned so as to deflect at least a part of the air flowing from that direct and uninterrupted path. The shield provides a site at which moisture contained within at least some of the air passing through the enclosure opening can collect. The enclosure can comprise the freezer compartment of a refrigerator, and the enclosure opening can be in fluid communication with an interior of a fresh food compartment of the refrigerator.
