  • Patent number: 4147545
Abstract: A developer composition for photosensitive coatings on substrates, particularly lithographic printing plates sensitized with substantially water-insoluble diazonium compounds, which is comprised of an aqueous solution of a substantially water-soluble organo-lithium salt, e.g., lithium naphthenate, lithium benzoate, lithium ricinoleate, etc. The novel developers quickly remove unexposed areas of the plate and yet do not detrimentally dissolve the exposed areas of the plate.

  • Patent number: 4139797
Abstract: This disclosure depicts a novel apparatus for use in a shadow mask type color television picture tube having a funnel and a faceplate attached to the mouth of the funnel. The faceplate has an electron excitable phosphor screen having triads of red, green and blue phosphor elements deposited thereon and an apertured shadow mask in spaced adjacency to the phosphor screen. The funnel has a neck containing an electron gun assembly for forming three electron beams. The apertures in the shadow mask form beam landing areas on the phosphor elements when the electrons pass through the apertures. This invention is a system for increasing color purity tolerance and leaving tolerance in at least a portion of a predetermined sector of the phosphor screen and shadow mask assembly to increase tolerance to radial registration errors between the electron beam landing areas and the phosphor elements due to shadow mask doming during operation of the tube.

  • Patent number: 3973257
Abstract: The invention relates to electrical apparatus for detecting a change in the electrical characteristics of a sensor device, such as a device for sensing fire, the apparatus comprising a plurality of electrical circuits arranged in parallel and connected to an output circuit which can activate or initiate operation of a device which is required to be operated when the electrical characteristics of the sensor device change, each parallel circuit being provided with means for automatically indicating that the circuit is functioning correctly, any fault in the circuit being automatically indicated and the circuit preventing the output circuit from activating or initiating operation of said device due to a fault.
